The SEC should do as the ACC does and allow us to watch and listen in as the replay booth officials review a play.
No wants the ACC title either. Its possible the G5 auto bid is ranked higher than the ACC champion by the of the season
I've noticed chatgpt has a hard time discussing anything sports related. It needs a reliable data source for statistics. Though I don't think it could ever understand the complexities of the college football landscape.

We continuously pay more and get less every year. I haven't been to the doctor in years because of it. I fight through colds and sinus infections with Dayquil. I would have to be dying in order to voluntarily schedule a doctor's appointment.
'Death by Lightning' - new Netflix Miniseries
Posted by Ping Pong on 11/7/25 at 11:31 am
Any fellow history nerds watch the new Netflix miniseries, Death by Lightning, based on the assassination of President Garfield?
I'm happy to see a film produced that highlights a lesser known president and tragedy in American History, as most are only aware of the presidential assassinations of Lincoln and JFK. (McKinley deserves a miniseries too)
I've watched the first episode, and cant say I've seen any historical inaccuracies. However, there is certainly an added level of dramatization.
The quality of this miniseries will be heavily reliant on the actor portraying Charles Guiteau (the assassin), and I cant say I'm currently impressed by the acting through the first episode. However, the script does well at portraying Guiteau as the lunatic he was. The first episode provides an entertaining production of the 1880 Republican Convention with fantastic acting by Michael Shannon as James Garfield, and by Shea Whigham as Roscoe Conkling. Nick Offerman's role as future president Chester Arthur is minimal in the first episode, but I expect he will do well.
POSSIBLE SPOLIER: I'm excited to see if the final episode depicts the famous story of how Alexander Graham Bell invented the metal detector in attempt to help doctors locate the bullet inside Garfield. Bell's device failed to assist doctors, but not because it didn't work, but because the president rested upon a spring coiled mattress (a new invention), that perceived the metal detector to be faulty. This was not known until after Garfield's death.

I still don't think I would ever get over how hard he fricked up that 2015 season. Bring in another transfer QB and just adapt your style a little and that should have been a title team.
Transfer QB?? You could just
2015 was before the transfer portal existed. In 2015, unless a player graduated, they were forced to sit out a year if they transferred.
Mettenberger transferred from the junior college level so he was not required to sit out a year. Players like him didn't exist at the JC level every year.
Its definitely possible for AI to provide value, but it would need to be continuously fed massive amount of data and take significant development to train a model. The Madden and CFB video games already have a base model for these, the real problem is collecting and analyzing data from a real life game.
The most difficult part would be designing an AI model to factor in intangibles. Things like:
-limits in pre-snap communication from crowd noise
-knowing a player is not 100% from an injury and how it affects their on field performance.
-affects from weather and field quality
It would be easier for AI to assist in game planning, but in-game support from AI would require something to feed live statistics and video of the game so it can analyze the play calling and schemes of the opponent.
As soon as a team takes advantage of AI, it will most likely be banned from in-game use. AI could so easily predict opponents play calling based on substitutions and player tendencies.

You speak as if Saban bringing 1 NC in the next 3 years would be a disappointment????
Even if Saban only stayed for 3 years and brought 1 NC, he would undoubtedly leave the program in better shape than it was after the firing of Miles, Orgeron, or Kelly.

This is a much bigger problem for YoutubeTV than it is Disney/ESPN.
YoutubeTV has consistently raised their prices and all they offer with value is is local CBS/ABC/CBS channels plus the ESPN and FOX sports channels. Everything else is garbage.
With ESPN recently offering their own direct streaming package that includes ALL of their content for $30 a month, why on earth would anyone stick with YoutubeTV for $70 a month?
YoutubeTV will soon be dead. The final nail in the coffin was ESPN offering a bundle with FOX sports for $40.

Landry should be the one resigning
But he wont
But he wont
He appointed all of them
New tech the last few years has just been adding cameras, screens, and wifi to items previously undigitalized. It was cool at first (ring doorbells, backup cameras), but now it’s just ridiculous. I don't need my washing machine connected to my home wifi.

It was a pointless ego inflating comment by Landry. He should stick to hunting trips with his master, Gordon McKernan.
Wouldn't be surprised if none of that turns out to be true. Regardless, it doesn’t make the LSU job look anymore attractive.
He wants to be Trump so bad.
