Alabama Crimson Tide: Water is powerful
Florida Gators: Big, fast, and nasty.
Auburn Tigers: Nobody winning a fistfight with a Tiger
Arkansas Razorbacks: They can get huge. Wouldn’t want to meet an angry one in the woods
Tennessee Volunteers: Had long rifles and helped build Texas
Missouri Tigers: Defended Columbia during the Civil War, and Neva Lost!
LSU Tigers: Fought hard during the Civil War
Ole Miss Rebels: Kind of like LSU, but I had to drop them lower since they were all college kids
Texas Longhorns: Wouldn’t particularly want to fight it, but still not as intimidating as they look. Big slow cow
Vanderbilt Commodores: Rich dude with a sword. As long as he doesn’t fire a broadside from one of his ships, or challenge to a duel, I think you’re pretty safe.
Oklahoma Sooners : A thief with a wagon. Exercise caution around them, but not that powerful
Mississippi State Bulldogs: Not rich like UGA, is a little hungrier and angrier.
Georgia Bulldogs: Fat and happy
Kentucky Wildcats : Not domesticated, but still not a big cat
Texas A&M Aggies: A biologist or agriculturalist, or a dude with a flimsy sword? Not scary
South Carolina Gamecocks: Come on

Would love to see you step up to a Fighting Gamecock that has his sharpen spurs on.
Our nickname actually comes from a Revolutionary War hero.
quote:
General Thomas Sumter (1734-1832) was a prominent American Revolution commander in South Carolina's militia and a US Congressman. Nicknamed the “Carolina Gamecock” for his aggressive fighting style, Sumter led troops against British forces in the Carolinas. He was also the last surviving general from the Revolution.

Every time I see the Texas mascot I just think of BBQ and what seasoning I would use on steaks and brisket.

You think a razorback is more powerful than a longhorn?
For raw power longhorn would be the top or top 3 at worst.
Water is super powerful, yet also can just sit there stagnant.

In true Border State fashion, our Tigers fought equally against the North and the South.
Missouri vs. Everybody

Thank God there are no college baseball games to distract from the interesting and educational banter that is the offseason.

Gen Thomas Sumter was an absolute American original.
The town of Sumter is about 60 miles east of Columbia, and its high school mascot is, appropriately, the Gamecocks.
SC is the Gamecocks because of Gen Sumter, but wears Garnet and Black because of the actual bird.
