I actually sort of feel bad for Auburn. They haven't had a really good year since the Cam Newton year. I want to play them on an annual basis again and I want them to be good again.

It's hard for me to feel sorry for them because of the non-human characteristics of their fans. It's not hard to miss the rivalry though.

I doubt that will ever be the same again. auburn is a wash-out has been of a team that will never resurrect itself.

Obviously part of their deal with the devil.

They will bounce back. Remember how bad they were in 2012? I don't think we will ever witness a team as bad as they were.

I don’t know. They have spent so much money the last few years. And gotten nothing in return. When do they just throw up their hands and give up?

I don't see it happening. They are too stupid to change. The coaches come and go, but the structure and atmosphere remain the same.

They simply don't have the motivation to improve anything. Gradually, they are losing interest in football altogether.

This is about the time that some Auburn fan will show up and tell us how good they used to be.

Agreed. I don’t see a path for the barn to be “back” short of a miracle hire. This new era is much more parity driven, for teams that do not have combo of a strong & recent winning tradition, they better have an elite coach and a shitload of money. Double so for teams that are second fiddle in their own state

The pitch for Auburn to whoever replaces Freeze is going to be shite. Who wants to takeover a complete rebuild in the SEC where its middling tradition and NIL relative to the rest of the conference? Maybe they get lucky like Ole Miss, more likely they end up Nebraska whose been wandering for 2 decades

Never do this. The moment you feel bad for them is exactly when a ball ricochets off your linebackers helmet right into the hands of their fastest wide receiver and he takes it 80 yards for a last second win.

Celebrate their current trajectory and hope it maintains.
