I’m just glad Arkansas made the tournament, anything past this is gravy.

Got a fair seed but tough matchup.

Gonzaga is Top 10 in KenPom, Torvik, and NET rankings. They’ve made the Sweet 16 each of the last 10 years, which is also how long it’s been since UGA last made the tournament.

And of course if we do manage to win, we get Houston next.

It’s whatever though. We are playing with house money. The season goal was to make the tournament. We accomplished that.

I love our round 1 and 2 matchups. Not saying it’s an easy road but I’d much rather be where we are than where Oklahoma is, playing UConn and then Florida

Also prefer what we have to what UGA got

Agree. I’d rather play Kansas than UCONN. Both are certainly good teams that could beat us, but I think we have better chance against Kansas.

St John’s is great but I think they may be a little overrated due to that schedule. I’d rather play them than any other 2 seed

I feel like LSU should have been at least a 6 seed. Maybe a 5 yet somehow they don’t even get selected at all. Shame on me for thinking that 3-15 conference record would pay off big come tourney time.

I’m not sure why they were left out.
UNC made it with 1-12 in quad 1.

Committee does what they do.
Different criteria for brand names.

IF committee left WVU out bc of recent performance, how did they leave us at #1 overall seed?

I heard WVU coach may go to Iowa, but why leave out Small who is a great CBB player?

14/16 in SEC is unreal.

Mizzou didn't get screwed but it feels like we drew a really tough opponent.

I’m shocked we got a 8 seed I figured 9-10 seed after the way we finished the season.

Baylor will be a tough out though

The 8-9 game that feeds into Auburn’s bracket contains one of the more curious seeding decisions made by the committee. Fresh off playing for the ACC tournament title, Louisville somehow dropped to the No. 8 seed (facing No. 9 seeded Creighton) in that South Regional

Getting an incorrectly seeded sleeping giant approximately 80 miles from its campus is rough for a team that just seconds earlier received the No. 1 overall seed.

.

Did Auburn get screwed again by NCAA tournament

Louisville is a solid team but their resume is horrid.

They are 0-4 vs the NET Top 20

They are 2-5 vs the NET Top 30

They are 4-6 vs the NET Top 50

They are vs 23-1 teams outside the NET Top 50

As for location of the game, kind of turnabout is fair play for the #8 seed Auburn getting to play #1 seed Houston in Birmingham a couple of years ago.

A possible round 2 game against UConn scares the crap out of me but our region isn't that bad. Cal/Self/Pitino are all at the bottom so we'd only see one of them if we make the Elite 8.
