Best SEC Baseball Programs All time

#1. LSU (obvious)
#2. Hail State (most consistent all time program)
#3. South Carolina (almost had a three peat)
#4. Florida (annoyingly consistent)
#5. Vanderbilt (been premier program for 20 years now somehow)
Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Tennessee are fighting to be in this top 5. If Tennessee goes to Omaha again before either of these teams I believe they have surpassed Arkansas and ole miss. Texas doesn't have a SEC title so not counting them yet.
Thoughts?

I can't imagine Tennessee is approaching the top 5 already.

ugh
Texas is #1 by far.
LSU is second by a mile
SC is probably 3rd. We have been consistently good since 75' (aside from the last 10 years)

Well, for starters, can’t be behind in national titles and be ahead “by miles.” Second, they have 3 games of SEC baseball history to date
As it stands…LSU has the most regular season SEC titles (18), SEC tournament titles (12), and national titles (7).

Ole Miss and Georgia each have 6 trips to Omaha (Tennessee has 7) with 1 national title apiece. Georgia has more all time wins than either school. None are top 5 in the SEC.

It's a good list and very arguable. When you talk about the best programs in the SEC then you should probably compare sec titles, but that isn't really fair to Carolina or any of the teams that weren't in the conference until recently. Texas is one of the all time greatest baseball programs in the country, but they have zero SEC titles. Like with football and basketball, there is a clear #1 and then the argument starts at who is #2. Is Texas #2 without ever playing a game in the SEC? They would argue to be #1 actually.
Alabama has 14 SEC titles and Carolina has 3. Or do we just go off of NCAA titles, which Missouri and Georgia have 1 but Bama has none.

LSU would need to make the CWS every year until 2045 to just catch up to Texas (which assumes Texas doesn’t continue to make it to Omaha). But yeah 6 national championships, 6 more championship appearances, most d1 wins, 3 of top 5 winning coaches… they shouldn’t be considered

When you think of SEC baseball, I don’t think anyone is thinking of Texas.

UT is in its prime right now. Throw in pay for play and UT is going to compete in any sport.
Let’s not forget that you were void as a program from 2006 to 2018.
Arkansas is as steady as they come under Van Horn he just can’t win the big game
Ole Miss, minus the last 2 years, is a top 5ish team in the last 25 years. Before Bianco they were non existent
For a non lotto scholarship state, OM and MSU can play some ball.
How can Georgia not win at baseball. They have all the advantages.
