she said the important thing at the end...it doesn't really matter...

Things like this matter on a societal level. The fact that she is a professional journalist and thinks this level of effort and competence is acceptable is a microcosm for multiple issues plaguing western civilization.
It's not really a matter of opinion or even his choice. He ended his college career at Oklahoma.

I don't think we're there yet. But if it gets to that point I really think it might come to the point that both sides agree it's not working out and neither wants to continue. DeBoer decides he doesn't want to be the fall guy for "post Saban Bama" and takes a reduced buyout just to be done with it.

Deboer is going to be hated in Alabama and a laughingstock nationally either way. Why would he give back money?
Was Arch even great in high school? I remember one of the national TV games when Newman got destroyed and yet his long touchdown run was replayed endlessly.

Hayes makes a great point. It’s no longer about development for a lot of these top tier kids. They are being shopped around by people in their circle. The development at WR for Tennessee and Oregon is nowhere near LSU’s but that’s the world we live in now.

Or, maybe their recruiting at WR has been much better than Tennessee's.
He said it hasn't been twice as long since Kentucky won an SEC title than since Tennessee won one...for some reason.... in a really dumb way.

Nvm. This is old
This is a legitimate gripe or complaint or whatever you want to call it. Those schedules are bight and day even when you take out the game vs each other.

Guess they will be back in a month or so to tell us how the vols football team is unbeatable.

I brainwashed myself into believing the Vols would beat Arkansas, Houston, and Ohio State. All of them were complete debacles. I'll probably believe again next time we are about to get wrecked. It makes all the more devastating when it happens but it's still fun until it does. Go Vols.

I don’t waste time following offseason recruiting anymore thanks to NIL/transfer portal. Does Bama not have a QB this year? Strange not seeing them on the list

Keelon Russell was one of the top recruits in the nation. Doesn't sound like he is involved a QB battle for the starting Job there though.

So I guess Tenn is going to start dick riding Arky from here on out.

No, when you are completely wrong it is OK to admit it and congratulate the other team. Arkansas or LSU is probably going to win it and whoever does is not only the best team, but the best program in the sport right now(yes, LSU is the best historic program in the SEC regardless.) It doesn't really matter to me who it is. It's not like it was close and Tennessee will be able to say they lost a tight series to the champ if Arkansas wins.
Arkansas looked phenomenal this weekend. Unbelievable performance, completely flipped the narrative that they would choke on it's head. The first game wasn't as close as the score and yesterday was just a completely dominating performance. Tennessee was the team that wasn't ready for the moment, and honestly just overmatched. Good luck in Omaha Hogs!

If you are acknowledging he was more than likely talking about Tennessee I am not going to stay here pretending like other teams are just as bad just to make you feel better.

I don't think any of them are that bad, including Tennessee. I think the unwritten rules that are unique to baseball are absurd. I think he was talking about Tennessee, because that is the national narrative because Tennessee is the program who has taken the college baseball world by storm, and Chipper is too dumb to have an original though. Also because he has since posted a follow up post where he mentions Tennessee and doesn't say "that's not even who I was talking about."

Difference between TennerC and other programs is that, while every team may have one douchy player, Vitello actively seeks them out. His strategy is to be the Detroit Pistons of the 80s, and so far he has had success.

Being so unlikeable makes it easy to play the "us versus the world card" - I'm just fortunate they are not my team, as it would be hard to stomach it.

All the programs that recruit nationally, recruit the same players.

Short answer no, uga is the answer here.

Yes because they have the best coach in the country. If LSU got Kirby Smart, they MIGHT be, but we know what Georgia looks like with him.

Show your work, baw.

Championships, wins. What do you measure it by? How deep the fences are? Purple hair? Dangling earrings? When Tennessee is a little down, LSU wins the series. When LSU is a little down (by little I mean barely making the NCAA tourney) Tennessee sweeps.

Keep telling yourself this. It’s not about keeping them from it, it’s building a culture and not recruiting guys that have the maturity of a kindergarten class. I can guarantee you some of those guys Tennessee has recruited would be Razorbacks if Arkansas cared to recruit them. DVH won’t touch those guys

horseshite. He hired Tony Vitello as an assistant and recruiting coordinator and assistant coach. He's cool with hiring a "douchebag" but not recruiting "douchebags"

It's funny that you think Arkansas' culture is superior when it hasn't produced a national title. If Arkansas just played their game and kept their month's shut, maybe you'd have some small thing to be proud of in a cultural sense. Thr truth is that there can be no chirping whatsoever, but if an opponent hits a homerun and celebrates more than Arkansas' deems appropriate, Arkansas' dugout starts chirping. So Arkansas is not just above the fray and classy. The only difference is that DVH doesn't let them celebrate.

You hillbillies need to check your stills, something is poisoning your brains.

Hillbilly and moonshine? OK. Tennessee does sort of lean it to that. Your program on the other hand leans into French Cajun culture...so.
