So you guys are just terrible at evaluating talent?
Who is you guys? I'm not on the coaching staff. Maybe they are "terrible at evaluating talent." He was obviously overrated, how is that an argument for him getting a raise which is what this thread is about? I know you are just trolling but at least come with some better material.

Then why did your program pay him four million dollars?
Because he was supposed to be the best or 2nd best QB in the country in his recruiting class.....Obviously. What are you even talking about? That was what the original contract was based on, Him literally being 0ne of the best players in the country, he's not. Why in the world would he get a raise now?

Sooooo you're admitting the fact that California pumps the most money into the American economy currently. Yes, Texas is second.
So are you claiming that California's state income tax or its general shift to the far left are responsible for is GDP rank? It's honestly a bizarre thing for a lefty to even brag about, are you just from California?
re: Will heupel get a pass upon ol rocky top for mediocre season?

He's not on the hot seat, but when you can go to the transfer portal yourself, it's hard to give a pass because someone transferred.

How many guys with accuracy issues ever get significantly more accurate? He's got a big arm, that's it. He's not a great runner, he's not accurate, he's not a leader, he's not cerebral.

Loaded with what? LSU had the worst running game in the SEC last year.

Florida is without 2 of its 3 weekend starters.
Tennessee scored 9 after King went out.
Tennessee exposed Floridas lack of depth right now badly. 9 runs in 1 inning.
Right, right. I'm curious to know what these "weekend starters" have done. I think the kid who pitched today is a weekend starter now.

This has to be the lowest IQ message board in all of sports. Not only is a foul much more likely up 3 than up 4(since there is no reason to even contest) its much more devastating.
This is objectively asinine from Calipari. You run away from the ball up 4, you have to contest up 3 or they can get a decent look. The marginally better look they may get off a make vs a miss is irrelevant because the game is over up 4 if your players can count to 4 and have played basketball all their lives.
If he believes this he needs to get checked out, that's how dumb it is. Go ahead and downvote some more though.

Unless your OP was read as if there was merit in the validity of the statement itself.
Or, was there merit in him thinking it was a viable strategy, even if a dumb one.
Yeah, I see what you meant now too. I was talking about merit to the strategy.

Well, he said it, so I guess there is some merit.
But, the startegy isnt sound. It's dumb. Shoot to make it and you ice the game. Shoot and miss and you are in the same situation as if you planned to miss. Makes zero sense.
If it's dumb and it makes no sense, there is no merit.
Calipari with head scratching coaching strategy.

He told Davis to intentionally miss up 3 with 2.5 seconds left insinuating making a desperation heave is less likely than a desperation And-1 3. Any merit to this?

I wasn't expecting to be legit natty good this season considering how much we lost from last season's historical national championship winning team. But we honestly look like a team capable of winning the natty again this year.
Our young talent Tony has reloaded with is utterly terrifying. Plus everyone in the bullpen throws like 100 mph with accuracy and our weekend starters look like they are big time SEC ready. Number one recruiting class already for next year too. Fun times for the baseVOLS
LSU has the top ranked 2025 class.

I've noticed the media timeouts are a full 3 minutes and then when the game comes back on there is another full minute before play begins. There are alot of things that make these games drag.
re: Nebraska running from Tennessee

Their coach says they are scared to play anyone they have a chance of losing to in the non-con. That's what this thread is about. It's right in the first post. It's really strange to say that you saw 2 teams play 1 game against your team and one was more competitive, so throw out the rest of the results. That's like a 2011 message board take.

Nebraska is pointing out that they had pushed back the series twice due to Tennessee's request but the Vols weren't willing to do the same. I wonder how true that is
And yet here is a quote from their head coach that completely debunks that narrative.

I haven't listened to Finebaum since a few years into the Saban era. I listened a few years. Idk how I made it thru that many, but i was bored and had an hour drive home... sometimes stallings, or barbara dooley, or bowden would come on. those were worth listening to. that's it.
Tammy and Shane were the best.

North Carolina

Swept East Carolina
Beat Kansas State and VCU
That's a good resume so far.
Tennessee appears to be good, but they haven't played anyone, so it's hard to tell at this point.
I downvoted because I think the reasonable assumption is that we are discussing the SEC unless specifically stated otherwise.

They're currently pretty close to eachother but Auburn is at the top. They've cooled the last 3 weeks from their historical pace, though. Still very good. 4 of the top 5 are in the SEC.
1. Auburn (1.297)
2. Duke (1.286)
3. Alabama (1.278)
4. Florida (1.266)
5. Kentucky (1.260)
Good point. I didn't realize it had tightened that much.

They only rank the teams once a week, in all sports.
