That’s more ranked wins than Texas, SMU, Indiana, Clemson combined, just off the top of my head. This playoff is a joke.

The playoff committee was making up for last year. Simple as that. Bama used their Saban re-do last year so Saban could go out high as possible.

Id argue that SMU had a much more successful season that Bama despite wins. They played the teams on their schedule...took care of business and make it to their conf championship game.
Bama won some good games, lost some terrible games and looked like a 4-8 team. No one can say that was a successful season for Bama. They had some good games, some bad games and some ehhh games.
