I know a lot of us laughed about it in real time because of the rivalry, but it was reprehensible the way they did that man.

I know that some folks will find this to be borderline treasonous, but I liked him even when he was there. He's the only AU head coach that I can remember hoping would do well outside of the Iron Bowl.
Also: several people have commented on how much he loves trolling Auburn. If I remember correctly, his daughter feels the same way. Seems as though I recall her posting a photo to social media of herself wearing Bama gear shortly after he left AU. I don't blame her in the slightest.

100%. It's because AU hires a certain type of coach/personality and he was a 180 of that type of coach/personality. AU likes to hire "offensive geniuses" at about the age of 50 that likes to wear visors and has a cocky attitude and that likes to yell "BOOM" swinging his fist down after a 10 yard gain.

Harsin didn't land in Auburn and suddenly become a bad football coach. I hope he's successful wherever he ends up, especially for how he was treated.
