Elijah Pritchett as a first rounder

Someone may also want to inform him he transferred to Nebraska.

Apparently it is because he still has it

I mean his job is to make the owners as much money as possible and even though the players and fans hate him he's done that. That's why he still has his job.

USC retires every Heisman winner’s number. Caleb was retired before playing pro football and they had a ceremony last year.

Yeah but that's because they retire every winner. Colorado has retired 4 jerseys ever..and three of those were retired before 1970 and are technically now available again with a commemorative patch. The only one out of circulation at the moment is Rashaan Salaam's #19...which they said would remain out of circulation for 19 years. It was retired 23 years after he won the Heisman and I bet a big reason why they retired it was because he was dead. I can get retiring Hunter's jersey because of the Heisman...but Sanders? L. O. Freaking. L. Thanks Daddy I guess.

For the record I think retiring jerseys is dumb. I mean the Yankees have retired every single single digit jersey! 22 total numbers are retired by them...I get they have so much history...but that's ridiculous . What happens 50 years from now when they retire a few more numbers??
Please tell me how many schools have the jersey of "the best QB in school history" retired that didn't either lead them to a championship or win the Heisman. It's 100% being retired because of Deion...and that's pathetic.

It's so dumb. There is ONE school that sponsors women's gymnastics in Texas... Texas Woman's College and they average less than 300 fans per meet. They need to go back to the old days: six regionals with the top two advancing, 12 team semi finals that rotates, and Super Six finals

It's so pathetic the NCAA has decided to just keep the gymnastics championship in Ft. Worth year in and year out instead of rotating it like they did for decades.
Dad and granddad both were Auburn grads so I was "raised" an AU fan (didn't care for sports) so I went to some a couple of Iron Bowls down there in the 1990s. Eventually switched to the good side and actually started enjoying sports so my first athletic event was my senior year of high school a couple of friends and I drove down to watch Alabama defeat Florida in Coleman for what would end up being UF's final loss of the year for their title team in 2006. First football game was vs Hawaii as a freshman a few months later as a member of the MDB.

Charles Barkley-"Not that I went to class much but I'm pretty sure 25/51 from 3 is pretty good."
1-9 in SEC series since last season.

You’re delusional then. There are only 3 other active HCs with national championships.

What? Oklahoma, UCLA, Florida, Florida State, and Washington all have coaches that won the WCWS. Patty Gasso has absolutely run circles around Murphy since 2016 and it's ridiculous . He needs to go. PERIOD.
quote:

He may just fade away and retire like Habez did a few years ago. But no way would the AD fire him one year removed from going to OKC.

He can go to OKC every single year and I still want him fired because it is clear he will NEVER win another championship.
quote:

The boosters are this program are former players and they love him and would certainly have the ear of our AD

Good thing not a single softball booster or player could cost Byrne his job. His job is to put Alabama in the best possible position to succeed and that is not with Pat Murphy as head coach.
We went 1-7 in SEC series last season. Now we're 0-1 to start this year and our remaining series are against #6 Texas A&M, #13 Georgia, #4 LSU, #1 Oklahoma, #3 Florida, Missouri, and #9 South Carolina. Having back to back losing seasons in conference should absolutely get Murphy fired.
Had a bail bondsman in Tuscaloosa tell me she made more money from LSU fans getting arrested each year the weekend Bama/LSU was in Tuscaloosa than she did several months through out the year. Said she would get to the County Jail at like 6pm on Friday and outside of taking a couple of quick naps at her office down the street she would stay until about 6pm Sunday just bailing out on fan after the other. "They bring a van load in as soon as they get done processing them in here comes another van load."

I’m mixed on this. If you want the scholarship be better

And the truth is anyone with any real potential to be pro that is American is already easily getting a scholarship in these sports. The only person this will help is the good not great American players

It's "DEI" for American athletes. Hilarious.
After the VT loss we have lost 26 games since the start of last season. How far do you have to go back to find 26 loses for Oklahoma? June 3rd, 2018. Since that day Alabama has lost 88 games.

Isn’t there an article on the front page of ESPN saying Vandy legalized field storming? I stopped skimming it when it spoke about Vandy prepping the court so they can storm it if they beat Auburn.

Yeah it doesn't actually give details thought just says to give them one minute to get the players off the court . I guess similar to how Clemson lets fans onto the field after every home game after the players leave?
quote:

just start arresting people. as someone said earlier the fans dont give a shite about the team repurcussions. if there's a chance of going to jail in baton rouge im not going on the field lol. i wouldnt anyways but you get my point

That's all you have to do. Start arresting people and throw in a trespass for at least a year for campus athletic events and they will stop. Even if you only arrest a few dozen at first people will stop.

Make him the highest paid coach until he gets the NBA itch .. hope he doesn’t

He was asked about the NBA a few weeks ago on The Field of 68 and while he didn't say never (this was after the Kentucky win) he mentioned how they flew up Friday afternoon and were back in Tuscaloosa essentially 24 hours later and with a daughter at UA, one in high school, and another in middle school he gets to spend a lot more time at home vs in the NBA where you have 41 away games just in the regular season each year and how often you're gone from home for several days at a time there. UA/ Greg Byrne has shown he gets pretty much what he wants from the university. If/when he leave for another job it will be a NBA job and not another school.
"Everything School" :
Four straight losing seasons in football
Dead last in the SEC last year in baseball
Has not made it out of regionals in softball since 2017
Women's basketball is 12-11 and 3-7 in the SEC
Did not make it out of the regional semifinals in gymnastics last year
Is 2-3 in the NCAA Men's tournament since Covid.

But congrats on the Golf title last year!
