re: Oklahoma @ Alabama - SECN 5 CST

I looked it up, and of course you are correct. Here's the really crazy part: we had more *offensive* rebounds than they had *defensive* rebounds. So if we missed a shot, there was a better than 50-50 chance that we were getting the rebound.
re: Is there a bigger whiner in all of CFB than Kirby?

So in other words, he's basically the Dan Hurley of football...
re: Will Deboer fire Kapilivec and move on from Roach?

LOL my mind initially skipped over the "4" and saw "4th & Milroe." Kind of reminds me of "3rd & Kirby" and "3rd & Golding."

Former Princeton football player Tiger Bech also among those who were murdered.

I agree. But I sure can think of one that I hope leaves.

Or, more likely, that the SEC refs don't know the rules.

Thanks for posting. I'll just leave it at that.

I agree with you.

IIRC there was one instance where Ty was sacked and an OL standing a couple of yards away made zero move to help him up. If you want to encourage internet speculation, that's a pretty good way to go about it.

Great post. And I think the following is the most objective description I've seen yet of the USF debacle: "None of us know all the details of the situation but it was evident that many of the offensive players didn't give a proper effort in the USF game last season when Ty was playing."

A young man I knew started dating a young lady who was a huge UGA fan. He converted her into an Alabama fan. Darby's backfield dances in lieu of hitting the hole drove that girl to distraction!

"Imagine Milroe in a Shula offense..."
with Dubose on the sideline clapping.

re: DeBoer didn’t bench Milroe because he saw the fight in Milroe’s eyes

Agree. And I *think* it's the first option ... but will admit that it's possible that that's just what I *want* to think.

You beat me to it. I should have read down further before posting.

Come to think of it, maybe we can get a win-win here. If Milroe starts to waver, tell him that if he goes we'll retire his number.
re: Is Milroe the worst quarterback in Alabama history?

I think this is the best way to state it.
re: This is a rebuild. Please don’t turn this board into the Rant.

Very fair point. This year he was still playing the LANK hand he was dealt. Next year, it's his team.

Haven't even been watching. What did RW do?

Under that hypothetical, DEFINITELY worth it.

Now that you mention it, I think you're right -- it was Wilcox who fumbled the punt. I think the two fumbled punts that I was remembering came in the 1981 Iron Bowl, and in that case I think it was Jones on both of them.
I didn't remember Ogilvie's fumble, but I'll take your word for it. What I do think I'm remembering correctly, however, is that when Auburn took the lead something like 18-17 after our last turnover, on our first play from scrimmage there was a pitchback to Ogilvie. Either it bounced on the way to him, or he had trouble handling it; either way, the ball hit the ground. He got hold of the ball to avoid yet another turnover, and I think he even gained about 4 yards on the play. From there we took it down the field, scored, and made a 2-point conversion.
