Arkansas has had 2 coaches in 50+ years. I’d say, that’s a destination

I’d say LSU, most of the Texas schools (UT, A&M, Baylor, TCU), Georgia, the Mississippi Schools, Florida, Florida State, Arkansas, South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, UNC, perhaps Virginia?

Tennessee’s skipper turned down #1 and #2 on your list.

I think you could take the top 6-7 programs in the SEC. A&M with their money and facilities is an outlier. I don’t think any of those teams along with Ole Miss and Arkansas have ever lost a head coach to someone else

It's a good job but not a destination.

The source is Tennessee fans.

Not sure why they need Vitello to have turned down other jobs, some kind of insecurity.

Ole Miss is Top 5 in:
Facilities
Fan Support
Salary

No baseball coach has ever left OM for a better job.

I think that is the definition of destination job.

It’s just a matter of time before someone steps into that USC or UCLA job and turns it into a monster.

Baseball is huge on the west coast. Most of the talent ends up in the SEC

Every SEC school is desirable. All pay well and have better than average facilities.

Tennessee fans are a whacky bunch. I’ve lived in Tennessee for a few years but didn’t really pay attention to UTk because they’ve been irrelevant this entire century except for like 5 seconds in 2022 and a few days ago. Starting to get a good feel for the culture. They are fricking weird and have no idea what winning is like.

They have had a few hires recently and they have had to settle after getting turned down. The program and stadium are top 5, but something about that job makes the top coaches say no.
