Schloss will now be synonymous with night slime, scum, scat. The filth.

This one is closest that comes to mind in SEC sports:

Yeah but Tenn and USC aren’t in-state rivals, and Tennessee didn’t play in the national title game 24 hours before the move, and to my knowledge Kiffin never berated a journalist on live TV for asking him if he was leaving for USC

This was a pretty shitty deal. As much as I hate to say it, I feel for a&M fans and lost a lot of respect for Schloss here.

I'm not surprised because I've known Schloss was pure slime since his TCU days.

Kiffin wasn't negotiating a deal with his team's arch rival while playing for a natty.

Did he do it right after (or before, if we are honest) coaching them to a loss in the national championship and then go to their biggest rival?

Crazy shite has always happened.

quote:

Rumors swirled that Dickey was planning to return to his alma mater to replace retiring Ray Graves as head coach. Tennessee lost the game to Florida 14–13, and Dickey left for Gainesville. Dickey became the head football coach at the University of Florida in 1970.

Then he went back to Tennessee and is in their hall of fame and Florida can't stand him.

Edit: He is in the Florida hall of fame as a player.

There's been some slimy, slimy events in this conference, but this has to be #1

Winning game 1 of a 3 game championship series and bringing your fanbase to cloud 9, losing game 2, having the news leaked the day of game 3, losing the championship, getting emotional in the post game press conference & pulling off one of the scummiest gaslighting moments I've ever seen, then bailing on your team 24 hours after losing the championship for your most bitter rival.. all in 72 hours. From ecstasy to despair.

This has to take the cake

Based on my knowledge of Schloss during his TCU days, I'd bet money he threw games 2 and 3 on purpose because he knew he was leaving for Utx. He doesn't want his in-state rival A&M to be CWS champs. Would make it harder for him at his new Utx job. Same reason the Texas AD leaked the firing of Pierce the day of game 3 of CWS. Wanted to get in the heads of aggie players. It all makes sense when you look at it as a whole. Also makes me question some of the head scratching decisions Schloss made in games 2 and 3.

I live in Texas. Nobody considers TCU and A&M in-state rivals. Nobody at TCU does and neither does anyone at A&M. They haven't even been in the same conference in 30 years.
