I saw where the Big 12 is in negotiations to rename their conference name with All State insurance for literally hundreds of millions of dollars. If it comes to pass, I have to wonder if the SEC will follow suit. Personally, I think it's tacky as hell but for that kind of money, I'll be surprised if the SEC doesn't do it also.

It is very tacky, but I’d rather do that then put ads on jerseys, our field, etc.

I think it’s stupid as hell but I also don’t have the “SEC Pride” thing. It’s us and frick these others schools so if they want to name it the Alabama and 15 frickboys conference” then I’m down.

Yeah, I want to hurl every time I see those “It Just Means More” commercials, like we’re all just one big happy family. Give me freaking break. Everyone hates everyone else in the conference but everyone ESPECIALLY wishes us ill will and would be ecstatic if there was a terrorist attack at BD and thousands of Bama fans were killed.

Yes, I’m serious. They absolutely hate us and wish nothing but horrible things to happen to us. So, pee on them all eternity.

Like I said when all the playoff, conference realignment, and NIL bullshite started, it's just a matter of time until college football is NFL Lite, and there's no reason to follow it.

I wish more of our cuck fans shared this same mindset. Literally, frick them all and their trashy mothers for not aborting them.

Agreed but sadly we will get both.

Ads are definitely going to be in the field. They changed the rule recently to allow it.

Just because they allow it doesn’t mean we have to do it. Louisville’s stadium is “Papa John Stadium” but we have a little more pride in our brand to do Busch league shite like that so far.

We are a brand too, so selling out or brand to dumb stuff like this would be a huge turnoff. And maybe it’s inevitable but it’ll be the hill I die on as an old man(37) yelling at a cloud

Fans of every sport really dislike this but they just get disregarded. It's proven to be a really slippery slope too. In 2020 the NHL put ads on their helmets, saying it was just a temporary measure to recover COVID losses. They have never gone away and they have now already also put a second ad via a patch on the jersey. You have to wonder if every uniform in every sport will eventually look like the cars in NASCAR where every square inch has an ad.

Hmm . . .

I definitely don’t want to see a Yellawood sponsored southeastern conference.

I really hate what college athletics has become.

I agree. It does make a difference to me. I’ve completely stopped watching nba basketball. I casually keep up with the nhl when I used to be a huge fan.

It’s why I enjoy the World Cup but I don’t watch any soccer league play. Dana White(for all his flaws) did a smart thing in not allowing fighters to sell shorts sponsorships.

Maybe the nfl and college sports will do it one day(probably) but that’ll be around the time I find a new hobby. I obviously love sports but if we’re plastering tacky ads on everything then it’s just not something I care to watch.

Unfortunately, that’s the most likely outcome. A depressing thought, for me, is that eventually Alabama will give in and break tradition. I hope it doesn’t happen, but with the current trends in CFB becoming more and more about money, I feel like it’s only a matter of time.

I can see this going by the way of NECKCAR

Remember when Lowes renamed Charlotte Motor Speedway for 6 or 7 years for lemedy million dollars?

I can see this going the way of nascar. NIL/Transfer portal. All this buying players from year to year is turning a lot of us off and money will have to come from different avenues because loyal fans are dropping away. This will go much the way of the NFL. It is a corporate entity that placates to corporate entities and pushing the average fan out.

Hell the CFB CG is already at 50% capacity with corporate types. The other 50% are left for the actual fans.

BINGO. Every Single Other school/program/fanbase in the SuC HATES US. All 18 or 35 or whatever it is now.

Every SuC member CHEERED in 1995 and again in 2002 when we were screwed over by the NZAA. And they all Laughed when we languished from 2000-07. So I've long since stopped caring about ANY of them.

IF they want to call it the Yellawood Conference - Well, just don't be surprised when it happens....
