Anything close to this?

Didn’t TAMU cancel a bowl appearance when the entire team came down with AIDS.

Do you know what it feels like to be ranked #1 at any time in your lifetime?

This is rich coming from a fan of a school who’s football gamedays looked indistinguishable from klan rallies up through the 1980s.
I’d say that’s worse.
I’d say that’s worse.

A&M canceling a game with Ole Miss in the Covid year then crying about being left out in the playoffs

How about Alabama scheduling a 13th game on November 29th, 2003 - to close out their regular season - because they were under an NCAA bowl ban that season

Diddy Bowden wanted out of the game and said so publicly after AU fired his incompetent son. When AU obliged a month or two later, it was suddenly "Ohhhh nooeees". So your entire premise is hot garbage, much like Ole Missy's hopes of ever winning anything meaningful in football.

Explain in great detail - other than a crippling case of Bama Penis Envy - how this could be construed as gutless and not envy*?
*Road game in Hawaii for those unfamiliar

In 2003 teams played 12 regular season games. In 2003 Alabama was under a postseason Bowl ban and ineligible for postseason play. Alabama found a NCAA loophole at the time which allowed teams to schedule a 13th game to play @ Hawaii.( a game which Alabama happened to lose by the way)
So instead of accepting their postseason ban they schedule a 13th game at Hawaii to end their season...wow... the program sure suffered from that postseason Bowl ban didn't they?

Sounds like a great idea to me
Losing it was not great though

The most Yella thing I’ve ever seen is 8&4 canceling the rest of their football season because they knew they’d lose. Down right spineless and the main reason they’ll never win anything of value.

This is not helping your cause, by the way.

Bama cancelling on A&M because of weather. I remember it was a beautiful day in College Station that day.
PS: OP needs to get over Tuberville leaving

That’s what they said but no one believed them. They just couldn’t stomach another loss.

The official stance was that it was because of travel, etc and not necessarily because of a threat at the game. But I still blame Bill virtue signaling Curry. I remember A&M had a sign put up in front of their field or stadium that said “Conditions Playable.”
We did kick their arse in the rescheduled game later that year. 30-10.
