Nick Saban, who just ended his high-profile run as head football coach at the University of Alabama, is headed to ESPN.

Nick will become a regular on the network’s popular show College GameDay and is also slated to appear on coverage of the NFL Draft this spring.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the Saban signing and a slew of other news during the company’s fiscal first quarter earnings call.

By regular, does that mean he's replacing someone on set? Because I hope so.

Saban will stay only a couple of years until that CFB Commissioner job comes calling.

That's great news. The guy has coached with, or against everyone who is relevant in the game right now. It would be a shame if all that knowledge were just sitting around at Jupiter Island or on Lake Tuscaloosa.

Thank you for the clarification. I was thinking it was the other Nick Saban.

How's he going to help coach Bama and mentor DeBoer if he's doing Gameday?
