Is Alabama the softest SEC fanbase?

The rest of us have had to deal with all manner of bullshite and we're still here.
LSU went from winning a natty to starting a WR at QB in a trash tier bowl game, in just two years and lost pretty much every "star" they had.
Auburn fans have had a smoldering dumpster fire on off for awhile now.
Florida is a full blown dumpster fire.
Tennessee has sucked for two decades.
Aggies have never even watched their team play for a natty.
But Alabama fans win 6 natties in 20 years, lose tGOAT, a couple of five stars, and they have fans melting down and quitting college football.
I do applaud some of the "real Alabama posters" for showing up and taking up and taking your lumps, a lot of your brethren acting out during other school's coaching searches made this worse for you and I notice they've pretty much disappeared.

If you lived in the state you'd known this long ago. I swear 2/3 of their fans didn't even watch every game pre-Saban

While I am enjoying watching them implode, I have been around long enough to know that Bama almost never has a losing season no matter how bad the coach is. They are still going to be good. Probably not next year, but they are not going to be a perennial 8-4 team. Just won't happen.
However, their days of winning 11+ games for 15 straight years are over. They better get ready for that or just quit right now. There will be a 9-3 season, maybe even 8-4, in there sometimes. But are they gonna be 6-6 or 7-5 year in and out? No.

This is probably the most ridiculous statement of all time. You can say what you like about Alabama fans, but "not taking college football seriously" is definitely not something we are guilty of.

2/3 of their fans probably had Auburn bumper stickers pre-Saban. There are a lot of band wagoners in Alabama. Pay attention to how many more Auburn license plates, window decals, t-shirts, etc. you see in the State of Alabama in the near future.

quote:Yep. Josh Pate said it best when he called them trust fund fans. I say them because most of them probably only became fans because Bama was the best program in the game.

Hint: Still is. Those of us who have been around for 6 decades or more have seen the highest of highs and some pretty miserable low points. Through it all we’re still here.
We’ll see who of these trust fund fans stick it out when there’s a little adversity.

Some truth to it, lot of our fans have not even dealt with a coaching search. But here we are, we had the shortest one just about imaginable and they still were worried

Not sure but LSU fans are the most insecure SEC fans. See OP.

Pate said it best. A lot of them are trust fund fans. Many have never seen the struggles that majority of teams deal with.

Reality is setting in!
Bryant / Saban: 12 NC and winning %87
Since 1936 (AP era):
12 coaches not named Bryant / Saban
1 national championship
Winning %60
Live look at Alabama “fans” realizing this

I think the bubble is about to burst.
Those bama fans from Tennessee are getting ready to go back to looking at wearing orange.

The sad thing is the Alabama "dumpster fire" isn't even close to touching what LSU/Auburn/A&M had to deal with yet.
We all had multiple bad seasons that led to firings compounded with a lot of attrition.
Alabama won the SEC this season, made the playoff, and their coach retired.

I think while not worse, does make the expectation s a bit different.
Then BAM all of the sudden the reality is that you won't have the guys to sustain at this level in the near term.
So the drop off next year is going to be interesting.

I wonder if Louisiana trailer parks will still be chock full of Bama flags.
