Watching the A day game to find signs of improvement from Milroe. He looks like the same guy to me.
Simpson looks improved.
Zone read is a pretty damn easy concept. Not sure Ive ever seen a QB as athletic as Milroe be so bad at it. He should be really good at it. Teams should have to gameplan against that. But its not a threat at all with JM. Simpson seems like he understands when to pull it and take off.

I think most fans fail to realize spring games are not where these coaches will make the decision on who's the guy. Both the offense and defense at a spring game are vanilla as can be. The "best on best" or other competition periods in practice are where the coaches will make up their mind. In a closed practice the offense and defense will throw everything they have at each other to find out who the 11 guys are that they can count on, so a spring game is more for the 3rd and 4th string guys to get more live reps in my opinion.

Maybe a little OT, but former UA QB and AD Steve Sloan has passed away. Sloan achieved many accomplishments during his time as a player at the University of Alabama, including winning 2 National Championships, being named SEC Most Valuable Player, and earning All-American honors. RIP Steve.

Correct, it opens tomorrow, but I had assumed players would have spent the weekend talking things over with coaches and you'd see a lot of "[Player X] plans to enter the portal when it opens tomorrow..." tweets.

Cause they may know DBs are coming in or that DB is not a good fit for what they want to do or the culture they want. I said it was speculation. The reason that I came to that conclusion cause one of the on3 guys said it was sources close to the program said he was entering the portal. That made it sound like it came from a staffer and not the family, which is a reason why Tony would call it cap.

Correct. I was saying in the ADay thread or somewhere that Simpson is actually a much more dangerous runner because he understand when to run.
JM footwork and pocket awareness are not even in the same league as Simpson. It's really not close.

Milroe can rum like a deer but Simpson has better than average speed and actually (IMO) is a bit shiftier and can juke people more than Milroe.

Milroe is fast as a deer and he’s super strong. He just has zero awareness on when and where to tuck it and go. I don’t know if he’s trying to prove he can throw or just doesn’t actually see the field. But they are both amazing athletes. Glad to have both.

I mean he ran for like 120 yards non-sack yardage in a semifinal against a strong defense (give or take half of the sacks were on him but he was also credited for 2 carries of -20 yards due to bad McLaughlin snaps). Other than UGA running a baffling double spy, nobody really stopped him from running once he healed up
Whoever wins the battle is almost certainly gonna be a good QB for us. The new regime lead by a great offensive coach has a very talented pool to choose from. Let’s support whoever emerges
