The biggest loser in the 2012 expansion was Arkansas. The biggest loser will remain Arkansas in the new expansion.

Arkansas had one competitive advantage over the Mississippi schools and it was money prior to A&M and Missouri. That changed with the expansion money.

Arkansas has been Vanderbilt level bad since 2012. I don't see that changing.

A&M will stay middle of the pack where they have always been.

Yeah it’s going to be weird not playing MSST. Y’all are the team we have played the most, and we are the team you have played second most. (LSU has only played y’all 3 times less than Ole Miss has. Ole Miss - 120 and LSU -117).

The newly added teams will bring some great games, but at the cost of century old games.

Great response..

Now open your crimson eyes and read the cards..

What do Texas, Alabama, LSU, and Georgia all have in common? They have great HS football and own their states in recruiting. Oklahoma does not have great in state talent; you rely on Texas.. Now you have more schools than ever pulling from there. Oklahoma will become a Nebraska with this move.

I’m sorry, you don’t believe it.. check back with me in 2 years!

There is a legit chance this happens.

Nebraska is a womens volleyball school. OU will be a softball school.

But you’ve never had that coach. Your best coach only won 70% of the time. Bear Bryant only won 55%. 25-14-2. You think he was the problem?

Mike Elko , needs to come in and say to the AD and Boosters.. it’s my way or no way.. you think they’ll except that? Cause that’s what it takes… Saban did it at Bama and Smart did it at UGA. They told the boosters to get the hell out of the way.. Will A&M do that; from what I’ve seen they won’t!

It's hilarious to read what you uninforrmed rubes think our recruiting footprint is.

Why check back in 2 years? We can look at recruiting right now.

OU recruits nationally, the move to the SEC only made it easier for them in recruiting.

This is true even though I never understood why this is true. My guess is oil money.

Texas and OU are some strange supposed rivals. Always taking up for one another on here. I think I have figured out that Texas is the bully and OU is just Texas’s little toadie who does whatever they are told to do by the horns.

It sucks too. We get the SWC/Big 8 schedule next year. Even in the East we didn't draw our permanent Kentucky nor old one SC. SEC office screwed up and gave them to Ole Miss.

What is fascinating about the "OU is the new Nebraska" theory is that it makes sense to SEC fans.

But in a way they are actually dissing their own league by assuming that the SEC brand won't help OU recruit players.

I think with more SEC focus aimed west towards TX/OK will result in those schools getting stronger.

The 10 schools before expansion started are going to be the ones taking it on the chin. We never needed these schools - they needed us. Now they're in and we're all going to suffer for it.

The schools responsible for fricking up the Southwest Conference and the Big XII were looking for fresh meat and we just served it up like a bunch of retards.

on field success will be difficult for OU. The years of owning the conference are over; they will be a 2nd tier team in the SEC.
As much as I'd like to believe this, and as much as I convinced myself this to be true after 2022, Venables has turned them around quite nicely in year 2.

They aren't as soft on defense as they used to be under Riley and they're starting to recruit much better than they used to.

We'll see how Venables navigates a tougher schedule next year, but I don't think OU is going anywhere. They'll still be a tough out.

Lol you even fall for the aggie rhetoric hook line and sinker since your kid's rejection

Texas and OU hate eachother, sure, but there's at least mutual respect that have for one another that they don't have for their little brothers A&M and OK State, respectively. Those schools like to pretend they matter, whereas Texas and OU understand they don't and only the one the see in the cotton bowl ever really has meaning in the CFB world

And this is why you don’t know what you are talking about.. you are generally in the top 10 in recruiting most years. But you have only been competing with 1 team in your conference.. now you have to not only compete with them; but 5 other schools that are always in the top 5-6. It’s not the same.. and you don’t have the benefit of a state to build depth. I’m sorry you don’t understand that.. it’s called math.. you have to build classes in too if each other..

You really think 4 years of top 10 classes can compete in a conference year I year out with schools building top 5 classes in top of each other.

Your place in this conference will be mid pack..
Champ contenders
UGA, Bama, Texas, LSU

Playoff contenders
Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida, Mizzou, Texas A& M, Oklahoma, Tennessee

Not so much..
South Carolina, Vandy, Kentucky, Miss State, Arkansas

I know you don’t want to believe it.. but it is the truth.

In this millennia, OU has won 17 out of the last 25 matchups. OU also won 14/27 Big 12 championships, in that same time, texas has only won 3 (4 if they pull it off this weekend). Big 12 is a cupcake conference that OU clearly dominated for the entirety of its time as a member.

And sure, you can jeer how OU failed to make an appearance in the midst of the biggest rebuilding period the program has faced this century, but the team still managed to go 10-2, and it's unfortunate because the team had all the components to remain undefeated. The fact of the matter is that OU is a big enough brand to stand on its own, of which Florida pales in comparison.

Also last time we played you we beat your arse all the way back to Gainesville: 55-20 btw.
