Uhh. How many times have they been to Atlanta since joining?

Not really sure they can go much further than they already have. They at the bottom. I mean ... the freaking dank and deep pit of failure.

They are 4th in wins since joining SEC in 2012. Right below Bama, GA, LSU. How is that the dank and deep pit of failure? I guess the rest of the league is even lower that? Y'all have some weird arse obsession with A&M. Majority of posts started by LSU posters have something to do with A&M.

No, but they will be competitive year in and year out. I'm not sure I can say the same for the Texas schools.
Good point. I mean... Texas would just get utterly humiliated in Tuscaloosa this year, am I right??

I always saw A&M coming to SEC as a smart financial move for them. They left for more money and a better conference.

If you're saying they ran from Texas by joining SEC, then who is Texas running from now? Kansas? Who is Oklahoma running from now? Okie State?

I mean context matters. Do either of the teams you just mentioned have losing records to the teams youre comparing them with? Now ask yourself the same of A&M.

There's no denying they were living in the shadows of teams that were historically better than them in that conference. It's not something they're shy about admitting.

It's as much about the weekly grind, the style of play, and especially the caliber of the athletes week after week as it is the top programs.

A mediocre team with similar athletes to you is more likely to get hot and knock you off than a mediocre team with athletes that don't compare.

You guys killed other schools in recruiting in the last conference. They're are 3 SEC schools above you in 2024 recruiting and between you and the next Big 12 school are 7 SEC teams.

In 23'? 2 above 6 before the next Big 12 team.

In 22? 3 and 10.

It's just harder week in and week out. Even though you'll be near the top of the league you'll drop more games year in and out. It just the truth.

Well if the Texas fans are like some of the posters like Monsanto on here or the metrosexual Texas fans at my company, I don't blame A&M from trying to get the hell away from them.

OU fans seem normal enough. Wish Texas acted more like them.

There are 2 teams above us in ‘23. Georgia and Bama. Still out recruiting every SEC team but 2.
As for ‘24 I won’t pay attention to that until signing day is done. (Spoiler: it’ll be a top 5 class)

It’s no different other than 2 teams that recruit better right now. You’re also not thinking about how adding Texas to the SEC affect Georgia and Bama recruiting. Your world just got different too.

No I got your point. Basically there’s less of a recruitment gap equaling a tougher schedule.

I’m just stating still very close in recruiting and your world changes too.

Seems pretty foolish that you didn’t understand that.

sure theyre frickin cringe no ones saying they arent. my first mistake was taking up for auburn i think. one offs aside i just feel like auburn/bama is a more respectable rivalry. i dunno the all time stats but it doesnt seem as one sided given how tough auburn plays the gumps some years.

people are seriously discounting how gay its gonna be around here with the Big 12 shite talk. put whatever logo on the field you like but that shite aint SEC.

It’s because of how recruits view the SEC. Easier recruiting, plain and simple.

I'm looking forward to watching Texas get their shite pushed in regularly in the SEC.

The NIL, transfer portal, and us heading to super conferences is about to ruin college football for me. I was happier with the way things used to be.

Well .... they had a 10 year head start.

I still hate fricking tejas. They will not be a good addition. They are a cancer to everything they touch.

I hope they prove me wrong.

I love that this shite is 6 pages long haha. My Aggies haven't won anything in the SEC and people are still worried about if we're gonna struggle. The difference is we have resources that we never had before when we left the big 12. This isn't TAMU 1995.

LINK /

I'd say only Texas can out muscle A&M when it comes to resources currently. That may not equate to real success but in the era of NIL it will ensure we get the best players just like Texas and all the other blue bloods. In fact i sadly see the Mississippi schools and perhaps even OU take a step back. Texas will always be a powerful draw. OU I'm not so sure anymore. Also interestingly will be if our Cajun Bros will be able to keep up with NIL deals. Time will tell. I'm just glad we got a new coach.
