This does show me that the SEC could make three permanents for football work just fine. Keep the two baseball perms plus add:
If Football stays at 8 conference games they will probably do 2 permanents. And I’m good with it.
Is SEC baseball adding any more SEC series?

That's bizarre. I honestly have never heard that term. Have I somehow missed that? Are any Tiger or Aggie fans familiar with that term?
First I've heard of it myself.

We got fricked by a conference that puts money first and nothing else as even a passing consideration. Enjoy your paychecks, because nothing else matters.

OU has never been a significant rival for A&M. They were just another Big 12 opponent. Arky is our third historic rival.

Why the dislike on the Mizzou pairing?
ESPECIALLY in baseball.

A lot of angry Arkansas fans in here. Why the dislike on the Mizzou pairing?
Because last year we had roughly as many people in our stadium watch us play Ole Miss as Missouri fans watched them play all season. When we played there the highest attendance was just over 1,000 and more than half of those were our fans that travelled. If that was a uniquely bad year for them, it would be bad but that’s normal. It isn’t so much that they aren’t good at baseball, it’s that they don’t care about baseball from the administration to the program to the fans (or lack thereof).

As an A&M baseball fan, I really don't care who our permanent opponents are. With just two permanent opponents, and rotating the other 8 slots between 13 teams, you are going to see everyone two years out of 3 at a minimum, so no use in getting worked up over who the 2 permanent ones are, at least from a competitive standpoint.
However, I would rather have seen the league go with five permanent opponents, and rotate the other five, because it would have preserved some regionality to the schedule, and it works out so that you play everyone every other year. But, for whatever reason, they chose to go another route.
As to LSU fans complaining about being stuck with A&M, cry me a river. I saw someone suggest that LSU and Mississippi schools should play each other every year, and while I would have no problem with that, I don't think they wanted these pairings to result in the creation of a sort of "pod" where you had 3 schools that exclusively played each other as permanent opponents. They could have done something like that with A&M, Texas, and Arkansas, but opted not to. So, we get some matchups that not everyone is happy about.

A&M has the most difficult. LSU & Texas are arguably the 2 greatest programs in the history of college baseball.
I’m sure someone could post SEC win totals since 2018 and compare to Texas’s Big 12 wins. Would make an awesome thread for pissing off a lot of people, perfect for this forum.

I like the LSU/Mississippi State pairing, but would have much preferred Ole Miss or Arkansas over A&M.

quote:Well, OU did advance further in the CWS than Arkansas recently, and both OU (2) and Mizzou (1) have CWS Titles, something Arkansas doesn't have.
The fact that someone gets a SEC win from an OU/Missouri baseball series really shows how this addition has watered down the brand
Arkansas has been to the finals twice, and lost, so there's that.

Looks like they got it right for the most part

You may want to go look at the series win/loss lately, highly intelligent poster.
Texas and LSU are both better programs by a wide margin.
aNm plays to their superbowls. I don't expect this to change.
