Florida has a top 35 defense holding teams to under 350 yds.

We finished with 450 yds.

More than the two previous games combined.

That’s how he did. For two weeks after a big change up that’s pretty good. I was full blown negative Nancy in the game thread but numbers did improve.

I’m not going to be happy about a bad season which is what this is but I’m still a whole lot happier today than I was last Saturday or Saturday before last. but I’m not gonna act like all is well after one win. Simply because we witnessed today what could’ve been had we had a better oc all year. Again, I’m not ready to burn pittmans boat down but it does suck realizing that, and this is a message board so I’m gonna vent about it. Hopefully he learns from his mistake and takes us to the sugar bowl next year

It's worse than that, these plays were practiced and in the playbook. Dan refused to call them during the game.

Somewhat interested to see where Dan lands next year as it's obvious he was doing everything possible to sabotage Arkansas while he was here.

Funny, it was only a month and a half ago Enos was trying to grill an undergrad on how to call plays minutes after a big loss

I can only imagine the schadenfreude Enos expected this game to produce. How would we ever succeed with a stripped down version of his almighty offense?? Turns out, maybe the average fan could do better than Enos...

Either he will be done with football or he will be an usher at all the Razorback sporting events next year.

I mean it’s one game. We had plenty of offensive miscues as usual, penalties, fumbles, etc., and also per usual damned near gave it away. Getting Rocket back certainly helped and he made some key plays. KJ played well but he can have good and bad games and we saw it last year too. But I doubt his success today is because we now have a new OC. I do think we are better when he can and does run the ball well. But people on social media are all giddy and going nuts that “we got our OC now” by beating one of the worst Florida teams in recent history.

I thought it interesting that on 4th down KJ got under center but then shifted back in the gun (we converted but only because of the off sides penalty). I remember the fan base wanting Enos fired because of this tactic.

I could as much attribute the success to the rain we got over the end of last week into the weekend.

Our defense wasn’t great today tbh is what I noticed most. When Florida woke up we really couldn’t stop them and of course they managed to score 36 points.

I am going to wait and see; it still all lives or dies with the head hog as far as I’m concerned.

Kind of wondering what could have been, if Enos truly cut KJ loose in the running game against either of these teams that are currently playing.

We should probably let the other teams get some tape on guyton before we decide one way or the other on him

We put up 3 points against one of the worst Mississippi State teams in recent history. It’s ok to give Guiton a little credit.

Kenny G did exactly what he should have done. He simplified the offense for a quarterback that should be playing tight end. He isn’t accurate, so he didn’t ask him to throw tight windows. He isn’t accurate, so he wasn’t asked to hit timing passes. He is a chunk, so he let him run.

All those would have got use about 3-4 more wins this year.

KJ’s accuracy is just so inconsistent because he throws absolute dimes at times like the long pass to Armstrong and then the game winning TD was in the perfect spot but then he’ll overthrow a slant by 5 yards or miss a wide open Broden for a TD. He does seem better when we’re pushing the ball further down field throughout his career

I can't imagine a p5 school hiring him after his last couple stops....

Well as predicted, this is how people react-Sam was “vindicated”. Just an example of how delusional the fan base and reporters really are. Starving so bad for a win that when it happened they are willing to believe anything. And when you read the comments to the article on FaceBook you see more of the same. The change cured our ills. LINK

What I can tell you is that given time the fan base will turn on this OC too if he is around long enough. History tells me this is true. How far back do we have to go to find an OC (or DC for that matter) that the fans didn’t want fired? And of course head coaches, too. Just give it time.

Quitting had a lot to do with that. If the offense plays with the same effort against State as they did against Florida or hell even LSU, and literally everything else remains the same, you honestly think we only score 3?

Guiton did a good job but I'm still mostly pissed at the players. It's the same playbook with some bloat removed. I'm shocked so many people are ok with watching our team clearly sandbag in front of their own home crowd then magically fix itself once they're appeased. Perfect example is Rocket. He was every bit as slow as he has been all year, he just ran with more effort and it showed. Errors aside, short of Enos literally abusing those dudes in practice, there's no excuse for that. We have a maturity problem and have for going on two years now. They gave the babies a pacifier and now we have effort again. If that excites you, cool. To me it's not a good indication of where the program is. It feels like Texas back when they couldn't find their butt with both hands and it was just drama every single year. Two years in a row with a major upheaval in the locker room and Enos had nothing to do with the first one.

Or stop and remember that at the end of the day, we only scored two touchdowns in regulation and one was on the opening drive we had two weeks to plan. The other was straight up yardball at the end of the game.

The offense was largely the same "cross the 50 and kick a fg" we had before morale hit the floor.

Not to mention the whole running out of the shotgun on 4th down thing. Thank God Florida lined up offsides.

It's not just KJ. I know I harp on him a lot but that's just the nature of the position he plays, it's not to single him out. I think we've suffered from a lack of good leadership on the roster in general ever since we lost the super seniors on defense.

Solid post.

Locker room 3-6 Super Bowl celebration did it for me.

I’m afraid winning that game did way more harm than good long term.
