Nice guys get eaten up and fired in this league. It's always been that way and always will be. There's a reason Bobby had so much success here, and it wasn't because he was bringing flowers and candy to his coworkers every week.

He’s the guy that will be amped when we win the next 2 and lose to Mizzou again to finish 5-7 and talk about how the ball didn’t bounce our way.

If he’s fired, I wouldn’t care
If he isn’t fired, I wouldn’t care
Neither can be controlled

Well said. I don’t understand why people aren’t looking at the real picture. This is a leadership and bad management issue. Yes, our culture sucks. But it didn’t start that way. Pittman has not met his duties for having the role of a HC. I think that coaches who work for state universities should be put on PIP plans (just like a normal faculty/staff member, state employee) if warranted because there are enough metrics associated with football to do that much more objectively than many other jobs. But that’s probably too Draconian for most people.

Enos is not a bad OC, and will do well somewhere.
His offense just required KJ to think too much.

I used to think the same thing, then got schooled on his recent past...

Holy shite hot take bro! Coaches are always on a PIP and I can tell you from experience of managing someone on a PIP, you have to really be fricking up. Yes, we should have won more games this year but by end of year if Coach hasn’t met his bosses expectations than there will be consequences. Quit acting like you sat in on their goal setting meeting for the year.

Kind of seems like you agree with what I just said because you essentially just repeated it but are wanting to soapbox. I said “when warranted”. I think we’re well beyond that point with our HC.
$6mil a year and “I didn’t know what to do.” Doesn’t cut it.
You’re not the only badass here who’s had the misfortune to have to put people on PIP plans so don’t scold about them like you’re God’s gift to management, Lumbergh.

I don’t agree with a damn thing you said and you obviously feel it is warranted. Managing someone on a PIP doesn’t make you a badass and is a difficult, time consuming, and humbling experience. Other than being a keyboard warrior:

Despite some awful game management his teams play hard for him. Never saw that kind of grit with Bert, John, or Chad.

Don’t think I hid that. Also, while you weren’t reading. I said PIPs suck. Keep being a try-hard. We’ve got everyone right where we want them…
