His agent was also the agent for RJ Luis who turned down huge money to return to St Johns only to go undrafted and is now begging to go back to college. Rough.

At what point does the NBA ban an agent like this?

Called that one about a month ago. Good riddance.

Why the good riddance part? Didn’t he just get injured then expect to come back and start? When our SS was doing good?

He had down seasons, Dave has had like 2 in 24 years. I’m not saying it isn’t time for him to go. I am saying he has 5-7 more years and will choose when he leaves. He will also most likely choose who his successor is.

He is our Mark Richt.

They don’t want consistency, they want feast or famine. They want to win a NC and lose every series the next year.

DVH has like 5 more seasons. For better or worse.

I think if the pressure wears on him he could possibly collapse and thus both the ceiling and the floor could be lower

I think he is dumb enough and vain enough that he wants to go back to California and if Lincoln fails there and he can get out there, he would go.

I do think you’re spot on about LSU’s spending making it hard to totally fail with the talent he’ll have but he could totally unravel

Also Louisiana just producing all the best athletes.

That list is optimistic for all the new coaches outside of maybe LK (though his floor could be lower)

As long as LSU is paying top dollar, his floor will not be lower. I think his ceiling is lower. He seems to always trip on his own dick (literally and metaphorically) right at the end. Like Desean Watson tossing the ball down before the touchdown in college and in the nfl.

Yes, but typically hot at the right time means finishing strong too before postseason play. Hot entering the postseason, oh that's a dangerous team put it all together late etc. OU was the exact opposite, couldn't have finished the reg season worse.

Didn’t Ole Miss or someone have a 50/50 year with Marshall Henderson, then go on a run? And Georgia the time the tornado delayed our game? I think it’s all about just getting it right when it matters, and hoping you don’t have a momentum killing delay between.

Just goes to show how meaningless the reg season really is and the narratives around it are for nothing but talking points but don't actually carry any weight.

All tournament based sports are just about being hot at the right time aren’t they? That was the whole argument against the CFP wasn’t it?

I feel like our last two ADs have done the poor Arkansas with their overall pockets pulled out, and that is what is holding us back. Both have tried penny pinching the entire time. Hunter has pretended NIL didn’t happen, and if we did it, the university would collapse.

We need to get an AD that has accepted within 20 years our area will be as big as Austin was before this Covid tech boom.

At least Cal did win a title and was lured from Kentucky as result.

No one is going to do the same with DVH.

You’d paint the ceiling if someone stole DVH and the next season he took them to Omaha like Cal did us.

That Kjerstad and Casey Martin team in 2020… was the year it would have happened.

Seems like the waivers need to be denied before the last day to enter the draft. But who knows they let people who gamble on their own team play now.

So with the reasonable assumption that the next coach will need at least 2 years to built the program…

We’re looking at maybe 2030 to field a legitimate team in the best case scenario

I think you only get 2-3 years now when you can flip a roster in one off season. Not us though we hang on to our losers.

LSU should be back on Black Friday.

I’m probably in the minority who believe the 230 games are the best games. Allows you to watch the game, and go out and do things after, you can go to a party/get together and casually watch other games instead of getting angry.

I believe RB are plug and play. As long as your line is halfway decent and you have a threat to run or throw at QB, he will get 1000 yards.

I wanted Bob Chesney.. and pretty much anyone but Silverfield… but here we are. I don’t think he will fail as badly as Bitchtits or Chad… I can’t say I have paid any attention to any of this since the end of the season though.

I think we win more than that. Idk how the team is built, but I think if Ryan can beat the loser mentality out of them, he at least makes better choices and wins the close games. And we had quite a few of those.
