Bring Schumann home.

The timing of Golding getting re-homed to Ole Miss might point toward Schumann. I’m sure we wouldn’t have been in touch with him until after Monday night. Golding could’ve been gone at any time after NYE.

Does playing good defense mean much in the Big Ten West? Maybe he’s an elite DC, but I’m not sure why everyone has talked about this guy as a sure thing.

Schumann from Georgia
This would be my preferred pick.

Now that paying players is legal we should bring back Pruitt.
Has Saban ever hired a guy to be his DC that hadn't previously coached for him? He is pretty particular about his defense.

I have a very clear favorite in mind if he's cleared

Schumann has worked at Alabama too, and Georgia‘s defense looks like what Saban’s used to.

Saban tried to hire Leonhard when Pruitt left, but Leonhard stayed at his alma mater so Saban hired Golding.
ETA: Also Pruitt supposedly has been telling everyone that will listen that he will be coaching at Bama next year. Now that all depends on what the NCAA does to him, and when they do it. But even if they give him a show cause I believe he can still be hired as an analyst.

I say we get the band back together.

The thing is if we get Schumann and Pruitt together.. Oh shite. and Lake as Safeties.... It's even better. Wait.. Leonhard joins staff in some capacity... whew! It can be any of them in different position. I don't give a frick about OC right now.

The more I read, the more I think it might be Schumann. I think getting him would be similar to getting another Kirby.
I wouldn’t be against Leonhard or Pruitt, though. If Pruitt wanted to come back in some capacity that the SEC and NCAA would allow, we’d be crazy not to take him.
Part of me wants Bama to open the checkbook and assemble the greatest defensive staff in history. Hire all of them.

I forgot where I read it (was it on the Bama board, tRant, Twitter, maybe I dreamed it?), but someone was saying that Schumann was pissed that he wasn't made sole DC when Lanning left. Instead, Kirby brought in his buddy Muschamp to be co-DC and since Muschamp doesn't appear to be going anywhere, one of the reasons why Schumann may come to Bama is so he can be the sole DC and not deal with the co-DC bullshite.

If Schumann wants to be a head coach there's no need for him to leave UGA. Leonhard's wife doesn't want to leave Wisconsin.

Well then she better be prepared to be married to a D2 or high school coach because the Packers are keeping their DC and Wisconsin has moved on.

anyone that says Pruitt is either a Mooooooooooooooooron or does not understand Show Cause.

Wait what? You don't think DC at Bama would be a step up the ladder to being a head coach from being co-dc at Georgia?

Down vote all you want but I speak facts. The last UGA DC to leave got the Oregon job. Leonhard has been rumored to be the Packers next DC although the packers current DC is rumored to be returning. Time will tell.
