Can someone explain how Georgia is favored to beat bama.

Because the one game Alabama played as well as they did was against Georgia. Sounds like they're banking on the inconsistent Alabama showing up, which is the safer bet based on the sample of the 2021 season.

Alabama beat the shite out of a G5 school whose only quality win was vs. ND, who never beat a ranked opponent this season.
Georgia beat the shite out of a P5 conference champ with 2 wins over CFP Top 15 teams.
With that said, I would have made Alabama the favorite if I was working in Vegas.

Alabama is inconsistent this year. There's no way Alabama's offensive line can play as well as they did in the SECCG. Alabama simply cannot beat UGA as second time.

This has nothing to do with who's better and everything to do with Vegas making money off of betting. Lines move up and down based off of which team people are betting on. If you think the line is skewed, put everything on Bama.

A lot of people have a hard time understanding this. It’s all about soliciting the most bets.

I think most people understand this just fine, but if a team opens as the favorite, it's because Vegas thinks the betting dollars are leaning that way. So, most people (or at least most dollars) think UGA will win.

They obviously need to get a starting point for the line and they just don't pull it out of their arse. Of course it's based of their perception of each team.If not,every line

bama opened as a 1 point favorite. The sharps jumped all over UGA. That is what moved the line.
