Chip wouldn’t leave Auburn or the state of Alabama to get another OC job

I don't see this happening. Pruitt has a history of being "difficult to work for/with" from things I have read. One of my MSU friends said that is one thing they were concerned with...him being able to hire and keep assistants.

In a nutshell, he is a big a-hole.

There are a lot of reasons he would not

I feel like he might want to get out from under gus. There is a stigma to being a malzahn OC that you aren't running the show. He'll, Rhett lashlee was a Broyles finalist with multiple high scoring seasons and he was only able to get on at UCONN.

this is getting weirder by the minute...

First, KS is interviewing a second time.

then I hear that if Pruitt is hired, he wants CL as OC...

So we could lose either of our coordinators based on the final decision...

So we could lose either way...

IF we lost one, who would be the biggest loss to the program?

Steele would be the bigger loss.

If Lindsey left, Gus would probably hire Hugh Freeze. Seriously.

Vols board saying Pruitt has an offer. Talking about Tosh as DC.

I'd much rather be looking for a replacement OC than DC.

Fulmer and Steele have had a relationship for decades. I almost wonder if KS’ interviews have been a smokescreen or favor to Fulmer so it looks like a serious vetting process instead of the shite show it’s been.

I hate the thought of losing either coordinator but if we were going to lose one, I think it would be tougher to find a good DC replacement.

Would you take a job that pays 3-5 times more than your current job, with all types of notoriety, perks and you're now your own boss but comes with increased stress or just stay making your current salary, working for someone else because of stress?

Anyone who wouldn't take the challenge is a wuss.

Except....Steele is an old man who should have plenty of money.

He's been a head coach before. It did not go well. As a DC he's focused on football, as a head coach he'd have to deal with the media, boosters, and represent the university. I don't see him wanting to take that on. Not to mention Tennesse is a huge mess.
