How does a team that almost beat bama and UGA play so badly against NMS and Maryland?

Was this coaching? If so, how? Did Freeze not plan NMS and Maryland?

Im tired of the excuses from Freeze or the I failed and let down everybody speeches. Like no shite you let everyone down. How about you put in the effort not to do that

Motivation. Tough to get the kids up for every game, but that’s your job as a coach.

Yea o don’t care how much freeze is focusing on recruiting. If our coaching staff is so bad that we can’t even show up as a team unless the HC is fully involved in the game plan and playcalling, we are fricked.

Not being prepared/motivated. It's impossible to "get up" for every game. That's when talent has to kick in which AU doesn't have enough of right now.

I believe Freeze is getting us on the right path. We can fairly judge him in year 3-4 when he gets all his players in and doesn't need to focus as much on recruiting or portal. This team has WAY less talent than you'd think

That link isnt right.
There is no way we are ranked higher than Ole Miss.
I can only count 29 four stars (HS & Transfer) and they give us credit for 35 four stars.
Of the 29 four stars I count that number includes the Long Snapper.
Also, I dont see any of our offensive skill positon starters listed as 4*.
The few 4* on offense:
Lew- he barely made the cut as a 4 star
Cobb
Burton
Brandon Frazier...lol
Damari Alston
Geriner
Koy Moore
The rest of our offense are 3*. Our best Ol was probably Gunner Britton and he was a 2 star.
Our defense has a pretty good showing in the recruiting rankings but players like Ausberry are already gone and I have no clue if Zykevious is even hanging around.

Seems like Freeze decided to hand off a lot of game planning and preparation to assistants and focused exclusively on recruiting this season. The exceptions were Alabama and Georgia, we looked prepared coming into both of those.
Ithink the defensive staff will get more recruiting help with Kelly, I’m still concerned about some of our decision making in games on that side. Offensively, it seemed clear when Freeze called plays vs. Monty. He was brought in to take that over from Freeze, and it doesn’t appear that he’s an exceptional recruiter, so I don’t see a point in keeping Monty after how atrocious the offense has been. Freeze either needs an elite recruiter as OC so he can game plan, or he needs an OC he can trust.

It’s coaching top to bottom. Then it’s personal choices by the players. If you have any pride you want to win every rep of every play. If you don’t have that inside you then that’s a problem.
Looks like we added a very good defensive coach in Kelly.
Coaches that need to take a look in the mirror. Monty, Ben A., Caddy.
Tanner Burns doesn’t need to be special teams coordinator. Our special teams have been horrendous.
Freeze needs to find a better balance. Granted we are in a good spot for the ‘25 class. Need to lock down about 3-5 more commits then we need all focus to go on the ‘24 season of getting better

Assistants doing recruiting only gets you so far. The HC needs to recruit the big dogs personally. The big dogs want to know the HC is involved.

Freeze isn't recruiting for 3 hours on Saturdays. They have a playbook, and the assistants can practice that all week if Freeze is out recruiting. But on Saturdays, he should be calling the plays (if the theory he called the plays against Bama and Georgia is true).
