You still think this shite is evenly called? Every time Auburn makes a big play, they throw a fricking flag

That was so clearly a hold lmao. You're trying to find fault in something else so you feel better/ignore Auburn's performance. If you want to keep doing that that's fine, but it's going to be a veryyyy long season for you
Why do you guys complain about refs so much? Good teams rise above bad reffing. This game has been pretty damn fairly called too.

I'm going to be honest, some of you guys are absolutely delusional . This guy is at best a mid QB. He has a serious problem with holding onto the ball too long and you can blame the OL for a few drives but he had 3-4 seconds to throw the ball in most cases. He missed multiple open TD's, chose to run instead of dumping the ball for short gains, and was responsible for most of the sacks. You comment on his running ability but he got absolutely destroyed running the ball against SEC play (which many of us predicted would happen).

To me, he was one of the primary reasons why we lost. I certainly understand trying to find silver linings and to have hope for your team but ignoring his obvious issues is just setting yourself up for further disappointment.

You hope the guy can suddenly figure it out but that's a very low probability of happening and doesn't exactly align with Auburn's track record of QBs.
Sadly it doesn't really matter long term if we win or lose. To me it's increasingly obvious that Hugh Freeze is not the guy. Through 3 years the team still makes the same constant mistakes. The argument was always bad talent but that can't be used anymore. Sucks, but it is what it is.

If you read the article it says

quote:

The executive order prohibits third-party, pay-for-play payments but “does not apply to legitimate, fair-market-value compensation that a third party provides to an athlete, such as for a brand endorsement,” according to the White House’s release.

Which means it does absolutely nothing. Additionally, executive orders only affect government entities that report up to the executive branch. So they couldn't enforce this even if they wanted to.
We have had 1 top 10 recruiting class and they're all freshman. I'd say we're still talent deficient. Should still beat Cal.
Why do our pass rushers always dive and miss the sacks? Feels like I've seen it 15+ times since the first game. It's like they're diving way too soon and just hit the ground

We seem to be in it for every top 2026 player, pretty cool.

Apparently we are pushing for him to do it.

This makes me feel like our money situation for 2025 is in good shape. Feels like a "hey if you reclassify to 2025 we can throw another 50k at you" type of scenario. I'm guessing they allocated quite a lot for Juju and since we missed on that we have available funds to toss around.

He went 5-13 in A-day and looked pretty bad. He clearly needs a full year+ of college practices before he's ready.

These coaches are absolutely friends. Hell Saban and Freeze vacationed together. Freeze even mentioned he knew Saban was retiring well before he announced it.

Georgia probably had concerns about getting Juju to actually flip and bowed out. I'm sure that was communicated to Freeze. We'll see in time whether that was the right move by Georgia.

From what I've read the FBI just had 1-2 sit down meetings with Cam and his family. I haven't seen any articles that suggest the FBI launched a full investigation and were pulling bank accounts to try to follow money.

Also seems a little beneath the paygrade of the FBI to be that involved. I always viewed their involvement as a deterrent for future schools/players transferring money.

I'm just saying that the precedent of paying our players already existed and was happening frequently. So it's not out of the realm of belief that we paid a few players more for their commitment.

I also don't think you can definitively say it did or didn't happen. There's a lot of conflicting information both ways and to take such a hard stance that it didn't happen is a little silly.

I'm always of the belief that we paid him and I always joke that it wasn't enough.

We were paying our players for quite a while just like everyone else. Friend of mine was dating Sammie Coates when he was at Auburn and she told me they would hand him $500-$1000 here and there after games if he got a TD or made some good plays. They just said "here's some money take your girlfriend out to the movies".
What happened to all that money we were going to spend on KJ Bolden and LJ McCray? Figured that would go straight to RW
Pretty positive sign they bumped Walker White up to #41. That makes me feel a little better about him
Amaris Williams upgraded to 5* on 247. Now ranked #30
Anyone hearing anything about KJ Lacey? I imagine if we get RW we have a really solid shot with him

That ban bet over RW is a whole lot funnier now
