This is just the start of a long summer for Russia.

Ukraine doesn't need to beg for Storm Shadows or Tomahawks these days. They've made their own long range cruise missiles. Given the advances in technology, they are probably better and cheaper.
The dem party is on suicide watch. That's a good thing. They weren't always communist dupes.
That's one ugly logo trophy thing.

I agree with others that dilapidation and government taking is the goal. There is enough literature out there on rent control at this point that no serious person actually thinks it works for its stated purpose. Mamdani has basically said as much with regard to government control of the housing stock.

NYC itself is a slum lord of city owned buildings. That won't get any better. It will get worse.

Check out the battery prices.

eBay has no name batteries of higher capacity for cheap.

Gotta be careful since lithium ion batteries will catch fire, especially the cheap ones.

Grok says:

Yes, battery-powered (cordless electric) lawn mowers have been involved in fires, primarily due to lithium-ion battery issues, though the overall risk remains relatively low compared to the large number in use.

Why It HappensLithium-ion batteries power most modern battery mowers. They can enter thermal runaway (a self-sustaining overheating reaction) due to:Manufacturing defects (e.g., faulty connectors, circuit boards).
Damage, punctures, or exposure to extreme heat/cold.
Overcharging, leaving on charger too long, or using incompatible chargers.
Poor ventilation, clogged vents, or storage in high temperatures.
Physical wear over time.

Fires often start during or right after charging, but can also occur during use or storage. Lithium-ion fires are hard to extinguish, produce toxic fumes, and can reignite.

Regime change is the only solution that will work. Ghaddafi the IRGC.
Authoritarians and totalitarians tend to love people like themselves.
I'd like to see them make HS and college required courses based on The Black Book of Communism.

An entire new technology is going to happen before they sell a gram of their stupid lithium

So much promise with no delivery.
The climate change cult got their new talking points!

Oh, just heat stroke and deaths but what's that against the glorious fear-porn and power-granting of the religion of Climate Change?

TOP 10 Tips for Dating with a girl in Slovenia

Had a young Slovakian assistant for a few weeks some decades go. She was a very high 10. She couldn't walk on NYC streets without getting a lot of unwanted attention. She was going to be a very high maintenance wife to someone important.

The obvious answer is to flood the market with more supply, but in places like NYC that’s so hard without delivering it at a luxury level that drives pricing even further.

I love LOLing at all things Mamdani, but I don’t know how you fix what’s going on in NYC for anything close to affordable rent.

NYC's bureaucracy is massive, but most of the services that it delivers are red tape which invites a raft of graft of many types. Making anything more affordable would require greatly reducing the bloated bureaucracy, lowering real estate taxes of all kinds and reducing the insanity of sand in the gears regulation.

However, the goal of the Mamdani Muslims and communists isn't affordable anything, it taking control of the means of production in truth as dictated by their chronically failed ideology. They don't care if it produces more poverty for their duped masses.

Once a mass murderer, always a mass murderer. It's part of their ideological DNA.

FOX News certainly was eager to call Arizona for Biden 1 minute after polls closed there. That was the most obvious farce that night.

The call was correct.

A survey of Arizona registrations indicated that about 30% were bogus for a variety of reasons. The most telling was having 2500 people registered to the same empty lot.

Isn’t ‘censure’ another word for “we ain’t gonna do shite?”

A censure from his own state GOP should be enough to remove him from his Senate leadership. He drank the DC swamp water and has followed Liz Chaney's road map.

If the 17th Amendment hadn't been passed, the state legislature could have recalled him and replaced him.

Sucks Thune is in office at least for 2 years. We got a raw deal with that dbag

He's going down the Liz Chaney route. Getting censured by his own state's GOP should cost him his leadership position at the least.

Too bad the 17th Amendment was passed. Otherwise this censure would have been a direct recall and replacement as our Founding Fathers envisioned.
Nixon's crime was like a case of j-walking compared to what they do spy on Trump.
Freezing rents and at the same time raising property tax is ideological stupidity in action. It was a disaster before and it will be even more so this time.

The low rent buildings are marginal to start with and guess who lives in the low rent buildings... The City's track record in running buildings it took over is abysmal too.

Man what a terrible take. There is no reason to place a cap on the tax in the first place. If a cap had never been in place, the system would be completely solvent.

This may not completely fix the issue but it doesn't hurt it.

If government hadn't used the SS "Trust Fund" as a blue-light special loan for decades, it wouldn't be a problem. However, paying interest that is generally below the rate of inflation is nothing but a skimming racket.
