They came out of probation in Harsins first year. CP was 8-4 his last year and struggling with recruiting. Harsin spent his entire tenure in a tougher conference than CP. Bowden took over a loaded AU team from PD. Not even the same situation.

The reason is called "trolling" you goof. The same Bama posters were also laughing their arse off when Gus lost to USCar, Tennessee, Minnesota, UCF, getting whipped by Georgia/LSU, etc. Gus' couple wins over Saban have done literally nothing to derail them during this run of excellence.
Here's how The Rant works: opposing teams make fun of how incompetent your coach is, and then as soon as he's replaced they can't shut up about how big a mistake your program made for replacing that same coach. Textbook trolling. I can't believe you actually just posted that as some sort of serious "analysis" of the coaching change.

Also, Bryan Harsin played an empirically harder strength of schedule than Chris Petersen did and put up comparable results. Chris Petersen only played 3 seasons in the MWC - in his first 6 seasons at Boise State they were playing in the WAC. The strength of schedule comparison to Dan Hawkins is an even bigger joke - there is literally no comparison there LMAO.

I think it is. Harsin took over a program that was just off probation where Bowben was still on probation. Who would have easier to recruit?Harsin took over a 8-4 team in the same conference as CCP. Bowden took over a losing record team ( that team was loaded?). Harsin has done good with the transfers but recruiting is nothing to get excited about. We have to wait and see.

It’s difficult to tell in these post-visit interviews. They all say they had a good visit and like AU and the coaches, but I think what else are they going to say…that’s like when some comes up you and asks, “How’s it going?” And you respond “good!”. I don’t think you can tell much from these interviews. Makes good content for the 247 and Rivals sites but doesn’t mean much of anything substantive.

It’s not as degrading as it sounds. Player played like trash. Coaching was trash. Alabama fans are trash. Ok, maybe the Alabama part is as demeaning as it sounds, but for the most part it’s just exaggeration of being useless.
I will soon go on a rant. I don’t understand how our coach which is still 0-0 at Auburn has so far been considered underwhelming. Everything we expected to happen after the coaching change has happened. Getting a bunch of stud croots wasn’t going to happen right off the bat unless we hired an absolute lightning rod that is the equivalent of Bruce Pearl. That coach doesn’t exist. Maybe Bob Stoops big name might’ve helped land a couple or Mario’s but our future is still solid.

Also Ja'kobi Albert got a CB to Kentucky today. KN said they are recruiting him harder, so he could see him going there.

Uhhh..at least 9? based on what? I think most of us don't see it in the least...
Now granted, Auburn always has it in them to have that magical year after a coaching change...so If somehow we do have that special season it usually means undefeated or double digit wins...

Im with you Jang, Id just like to see us better coached and have better schemes, which would be a huge, huge leap forward at this point.
Some of you need to go see the video on Bo that Bird posted by a coach reviewing his play, which ended up being more of a review on the program than Bo. Basic things:
How can Bo approach the line of scrimmage, see an all out blitz coming and:
-There is no hot receiver
-NONE, NONE of the receivers, after seeing the impending blitz, break off their route to prevent Bo from having his head knocked off.
-None of the players on the line make an adjustment, one woofs at air while a blitzer runs to the backfield unblocked
-we come out of a timeout....and run it up the middle for no gain
That is just poor coaching, the fundamentals we talk about all the time on here.
