I am, as I have said before, fully in favor of giving any coach at least three years, barring a scandal of some type, to get over the hump and get the program going.
This is year 8 in a weak SEC and we are losing to teams that have been complete doormats so far. We will not make the NCAA unless we go on a run for the ages in the SEC tournament.
Its time.

Needs to stay at arkansas.
1 bad year shouldn't defy him.

Why is it so hard to have an honest conversation these days?

Were you under a rock during the 2015-2016 season?

1. He has never had a losing season.....But has not achieved anything here in 8 years
2. His high water mark (from two "lesser programs") are the Elite Eight and a brief #1 ranking. (This suggests he can achieve this and maybe more at Arkansas)....And he has not gotten anywhere near that here or suggest he is close to acheiving that success here
3. Until this season, Anderson's team is second behind Kentucky for total SEC wins over the back half of Anderson's tenure....And what do we have to show for that?
4. (Could be called 3b) This season Anderson has the youngest team in the entire country....Which should be seen as a negative for a coach in his 8th year coming off a season that ended in a first round loss in the NCAAT.
In sports or business, winners recognize when a change has to be made and makes it regardless of hurt feelings.
Losers hopes it works itself out and are always a step behind.
We are at a crossroads where we choose to be winners or losers.

what we should do:
find a graceful way to separate with Mike
what we will probably do:
dress up like ghosts and burn a lower case t in his yard for time to leave

How about 2009-10 season. That's the last time Razorback Basketball had 6 consecutive losses.
Losing to the Wildcats on Tuesday Mike will tie that dubious record that Failphrey set.

I think this is the first time I've weighed in on this subject (like that matters).
I think these things are true.
1. Mike knows he's pretty much done here. I mean, he has to right? If I were in his situation, I'd make em fire me and get paid what's owed. Any human would be ignorant to leave money on the table.
2. Mike will not be let go until after next season. I'm sure the University will do everything it can to make sure this departure looks clean and diplomatic.
3. Including this year, the Hogs won't make the tournament for three years.
For what it's worth, I hope I'm wrong on all accounts. Also, I'm not interested in joining the current flame war between Hog fans about it.

Ive entertained the idea that coaches have paid shills on message boards. That is more logical than any attempt to defend Mike Anderson.

I forgot we played basketball last night. I was too busy watching a well coached team playing baseball. CMFDVH has forgot more about good coaching than MA has ever known.

I don't think anyone is defending him at this point. BoarEd is just trolling.
I'm starting to think Mike is trying to get fired. That's the only explanation for starting Gabe.

Me and Stoney have locked horns many a time. I think he is right here.
No one is really defending Mike. We are in that odd position of where we were with Bert heading into his last season. Most of us had given up on him but we gave him one more season to turn things around. And he didn't.

I’ve been on Mikes arse since he took a year off recruiting.
The truth for me and I would imagine most Hog basketball fans is that, during the Heath years we wanted Mike. During the Pelphrey years, we wanted Mike. I wanted Mike for years. I wanted Mike to succeed here.
It just hasn’t happened for one reason or another. I’m of the opinion that he got too comfortable here. When someone gets comfortable, their performance starts to lack in productivity.
I hope he ends up just retiring, but I doubt it happens.

Mike should have been fired at the end of the 2015-2016 season.
It was obvious that after 5 years Mike wasn't getting us to the sweet 16.
