Getting us into the SEC was a good thing. Arkansas has financial security and is in the strongest league in the nation. Frank provided strong leadership. He cared about winning. Todays ADs only care about the ledger sheet.

Thats a problem. The way HY handles this Mike situation will let all of us know what kind of AD we have. And I hope its one with a pair.

That's the only thing anyone can ever point to. The athletic department has so much money to waste!

Is being in the SEC good for football? We've been in the bottom half of the league ever since we joined, and now we're historically terrible and the brand new stadium is half empty.

Basketball? No benefit.

Baseball? Doesn't hurt but it's not like we couldn't be competitive in a different conference. The Big 12 had two teams in the CWS last year.

So other than the athletic department collecting money, what's a positive aspect of being in the SEC?

Pointed this out the last time you spouted this dumbass shite, but we've won the West 1 less time than LSU has since we joined.

And? That doesn't refute what I said. And one of those times was a technicality because Bama was on probation.

Better than 10th in the league.

And probably around 40th nationally.

We've actually been very middle of the pack on aggregate since joing the SEC. We're not historically terrible lmfaooooo. It's been pretty rough since 2011 tho. Stadium won't be half empty this year. There's gonna be some life to the program this upcoming season.

LSU has 4 conference championships since we joined, we have 0.

And we have things like records and winning percentages to show that we've been in the bottom half of the league since we joined. But keep bringing up the same point about LSU winning the division more than us because you think it helps your argument somehow.

2 times less. LSU also won 4 of their 5 conference championship games. I'm on the side that moving to the SEC was a good thing, but this whole argument is flawed. A better point would be "we've played in more SEC championship games than anyone outside of the Big 6 and that no one outside of the Big 6 has won a conference championship" would be the best argument to show our competitiveness.

Because you're out here saying shite like we've been at the bottom the whole time which isn't even remotely true. You bash people for melting over the basketball program and turning on Mike then turn around and melt so hard over football you legitimately want us to switch conferences. You're an idiot.

1. We were co-champs in 98 with MSU.

Has absolutely nothing to do with demonstrating that we haven't been on the bottom the whole time. Being #1 isn't the point. Being competitive is. If you're in the conference championship, you're competitive.

But I thought Mike having the 2nd most SEC wins in his tenure was such a huge deal?

Now he thinks we shouldn’t even be in the conference? I’m so lost, what narrative are we talking about here.

You're right. We do. We've finished in/tied for the top 3 of the division 12 times and outside of that 14 times. This including the worst stretch of Razorback football the past few years. We have never had issues being competitive in the SEC in any sport. When you're finishing top 3 that often, you aren't "at the bottom the whole time". We played for the SEC Title our 4th season after joining. Your "Woe is lil ole Arkansas" shite belongs on HiV.

I said we've been in the bottom half of the league the whole time, which is 100 percent true. You can look up our record if you want.

I'm not surprised the welcher would propose sacrificing the overall success and revenue generation of the entire athletics program for an "easier" path in football.

We would have even worse numbers being in the Big 12 though.

We have a losing record because tPTB held on to middling coaches for long periods of time. Bert tanked our record and had a giant leash. Nutt would catch lightning just often enough to keep his job. The moment we hired a decent coach we set the conference on fire then he fell off the damn hog. Being saddled with Bert for half a decade after that, of course our record is garbage. None of that is the fault of being in the SEC. A good coach will win here in this conference.

No doubt about it. Bobby already proved it. Really is a shame he couldn't keep his ding dong in his pants.

His recruiting would have caught up with him eventually
