Have uncle Jerry go lock up coach prime for a deal in the future either next year or the following and be done with it. We can then call it even for The Morris debacle.

If he is buying, I’m going for Dan Lanning.

Oregon is not going to let Lanning leave, especially once they start getting Big 10 $$.

They will probably end up paying him $8-9M/yr soon. Arkansas will never do that. Hell, they could have nick Saban and Kirby smart and they wouldn't do that.

They are going to have to get a hellfire and vinegar G5 guy who will be able to overcome the Arkansas loser mentality.

This is all fine and dandy, but this thread is very premature. Sam has at a minimum this year and next year, and probably more based on my read of the fanbase.

A lot of these names being pushed around will be exposed as flashes in a pan and there will be a whole different crop when the time does come.

That’s what I said at the beginning of the year. The fans and media are going to give him a long arse rope.

I agree with this, the only two I believe will be standing in 2-3 years are Elko and Lanning.

GJ Kinne has a good chance too.

Exactly. He's safe this year, easily. Maybe even next year also, depending on how the rest of the season shakes out.

I wonder if/when the administration and boosters will ever get serious about football. With a BAMF, we could easily return to the Petrino years. We should back the Brinks truck up to Urban Meyer's doorstep and ask him how much would it take.

So tired of hiring piss dribblers.

It was so nice to be feared and respected when Petrino was coaching here.

If he has a losing season, his seat will be warm at the start of next year.

That was cool. I liked being competent. I liked a minimization of mental mistakes. I liked winning the games we were supposed to. I liked winning the toss ups. And being in the games where we had no chance.

That’s really my wants as a Razorback fan. I don’t think we will ever be a national championship contender, the top brass heart isn’t in it. But I do think we can compete for the west most years and win it ever 3-4. Making the top 12 playoffs should be in our grasp most years. Whether we make it or not.

I'd have to question the sanity of any coach wanting to leave Oregon for here.

I think Lanning is an utter pipe dream, but it’s worth noting that Oregon’s last two head coaches have left for other jobs. Oddly enough both were jobs in Florida.

Watch Lanning leave for UF to complete the trifecta

PAC 12 days I’d agree

Next year when he’s flying to Rutgers on a transatlantic flight for an away game I’d say it’s a possibility. Big 10 travel is going to suck.

At Arkansas he’s always less than 3 hrs from home.

Won’t ever be at the top of the Big10?
Could say the same about us… idk, maybe he wants to get out of the liberal hell? Also closer to his home? Best league, easier to get defensive linemen?

Coaches (and also all elite rich people) have enough money to live in places that insulate them from the insanity of the policies of Portland (homelessness and crime).

I know. Outside of the two main cities it’s really logging country.
