Pittman of he goes hands off and just recruits and pep talks with a stud OC and DC could absolutely stabilize the program.
Game and situational experience and clock management could be a giant issue though. And Chaney... There's still the Chaney factor...

Sources tell ESPN that Sam Pittman, Georgia’s associate head coach and offensive line coach, has emerged as the top candidate for the Arkansas head coaching job. Pittman was at Arkansas from 2013-15 as assistant head coach, offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator.

I don't believe hiring Pittman guarantees us Chaney, but I don't care if it does. Chaney's playcalling is certainly a head scratcher at times, but it worked out pretty well at Georgia. At Arkansas, I think Chaney was handcuffed, because Bert wouldn't allow him to run the offense he wanted to run.

Give him Kiffin’s mythical staff list he submitted and outbid Ole Miss.

Just came to post the Low tweet. When this many national guys start stoking the fires its real...and these ain't guys with 1500 followers at a fourth rate website.
I would assume we've struck out with Drink as well and this is basically our last option other than Nutt types.

We're not in the position to turn our nose up at anyone, much less someone with a lot of SEC experience and who was actually decent here.

HY is going to do something that has never been done since WWII, hire a coach with no HC experience? A requirement since Barnhill was made AD?

I'd be ecstatic if we hired Pittman.

They didn’t, he left for the Tennessee job because they’re paying him $1 million plus.

Georgia fans complained about him a lot and some was warranted but they would be glad to have him back now

I really don't want another 2-3 yr transition BACK to a smash mouth pro set... Just get an RPO guy like Lashlee and modify it slightly or copy the OHIO state/Urban Meyer inside zone spread

What do you mean?
We have zero O line anyway. We don’t have personnel to run anything well at this point.
