What type of stand are you hunting? I dealt with the same crap and this sounds stupid, but if I’m in a box stand or blind I’ll put house shoes in my bag and change into those from my boots at the stand.

I second the flavored corn. Usually any type of peanut butter bran works just as good if not better, but it’s so dry where we hunt I feel like it’s got the deer ignoring it. Great for skunks, though.

I feel like there’s some kind of misconception that you’re talking about gunning down the neighborhood bernadoodle who just happened to get out of the yard when this topic comes up. All of the dogs I’ve had problems with have been half-wild, starving, and uncared for by whatever idiot that claims them and lets them run wild. Not much difference between that type and a yote, in my opinion.
