I’d take Pittman with Enos OC, Strong DC.

I might could get behind him. He could definitely assemble a quality staff.

Pittman and Enos have clashing philosophies on offense. Wasn't that one of the main reasons Pittman left?

He's got to run a more wide open offense though. If he could be the LSU version Coach O, I'd be all in. I just think he cannot run the Big 10 Bert offense and must get something akin to Bobby P's power spread, shallow cross-heavy or RPO look.

But what do we know about Pitt:

You know you're getting 3 things - - strong line play, elite recruiter, and big time sec connections and experience.

OH yeah, and apparntly dudes will run through walls for him.

As long as he doesn't do the Orgeron Ole Miss, and is a functioning alcoholic meddling in every aspect of the team and challenging the kids to fights, then he could conceivably be OK here

We just need something to happen soon, this place is going bananas.

I don't think Pittman would work to get the fanbase back on board, it would be a huge risk.

Pittman leaves first opportunity after Chaney is shown the door.

With him as HC, Jim is never shown the door.

If you sell him as a Dabo/Coach O CEO type I think the fans would be.

If he shows how much he loves the state, too, at the presser, he could convince a lot in the fence. Just sell the recruiting and staff and motivation.

But the Cheney angle cannot be overstated. He will hire himatvfiest chance and he will never ever fire him.

I think between him and Drink, both are risky. Drink though is seen as slightly less of a risk and he's a Gus guy, so I would put my money on the BoT going for that option.

Jim Chaney is exactly what this program needs. Maybe Bert will come back to coach the dline.

With the options left on the table I'd be ok with this, assuming he puts together the type of staff I think he would. Chaney at OC would be concerning though.

Morris tenure made things pretty obvious. We need a quality staff that can recruit. The former GA's weren't going to get the job done. That's one reason I wanted LK 2 years ago and was still my first choice this search. I'm concerned about Drink, etc simply for the fact they don't have the connections/ expereince to put together an A+ staff. Anything short of that is not going to work here.
