I will drop the sport completely if it really does take that long.

We’re going to have to catch lightning in a bottle with a coach and team to right this ship.

An established coach or one with big prospects isn’t coming.

The money is available, but it’s not going to be contributed until there’s at least some hope for a return.

So we’re going to have a make a movie about it type season to get the the fans, the money, and the ranked players to start coming.

It’s not that hard. Get a competent AD that someone will work for that isn’t a known moron/lame duck.

Be ready to pay 10M per year and give them 30M for NIL.

We just gave this dipshit 24M…

Someone is going to end up firing a decent coach from a blue blood who wasn’t ever able to win the whole damn thing. Like Franklin was last year. It maybe Dan lanning, it maybe sarkisian, in a year or 2 in might be lane again. I think that’s the type of retread we need to go after. Someone who can at least build a competent program and someone who might be willing to learn from previous mistakes and has an axe to grind against at least one of the big dogs. If sark ends up getting canned at Texas you don’t think he wouldn’t have that game circled? Venables also wouldn’t be a bad option if he gets fired from OU. We would at least be good on one side of the ball

Anderson > Musselman > Calipari was a really, really good path for the basketball program.

Who gives a shite? No one cares any more and it's obvious that things will never change. This hire was the worst of the year. Guy is clueless on the sideline.

He could be fired for potentially going 1-11.

And what's the buyout?

It's Monopoly money at this point.

There's a reason I named him Cashacheck when he was hired.

Yes, but not for cause and it will cost:

Before Dec. 31, 2026: $10 million
Before Dec. 31, 2027: $7.5 million
Before Dec. 31, 2028: $5 million
Before Dec. 31, 2029: $2.5 million
Before Dec. 31, 2030: $1.25 million

Hunter's contract is set to expire Dec 31 2027

He has no reported buyout after fleecing the University to "fend" off the "higher offer" from Auburn in 2023.

He is one of the highest paid ADs in the country...

That’s literally chump change and shows how inconceivably low demand Silverado really was.

Money never seems to be an issue for any of our conference peers. They just pay whatever it takes to get who they want and fire them when they’re fed up.
