Lived there 23 years. Early on it was “How ‘bout them Cowboys!” but the fires of passion smoldered out.

All Mr. Jones needs to do is keep the $pigot on and flowing freely. Let the professionals handle the rest. ‘Called Ducks for H. Ross Perot’s family lawyer for seven years at the old Dallas Hunting and Fishing Club. This gentlemen traveled in circles way above me. He told me Jerry Jones gave a lot of money to good causes and never wanted it to get out that he did.

Hill Syndicate? Hog Bucks? Tusk Collective? Whatever you want to call it, we should emulate it.

Nailed it. We cursed at the clouds like an old codger instead of playing the hand this new system dealt us.

Let’s not forget HY made us even more of a laughing stock with his infamous comment and actions on the CFB PO committee. Bama in? Well we see how that worked out.

TRIGGER ALERT: Our youngest graduated Ole Miss in 2024.
With that out of the way, here is what I know. There are local businesses donating a portion of or all sales on certain products to NIL funding. The local brewery right next to VH sells beer in the concessions. The proceeds from one of their beers goes to OM NIL funding.
I am a born and raised Arkansan. 45 of my direct family, myself included have a degree from a University of Arkansas school. At one time, we had five on The Hill at one time. Lest ye doubt my allegiance to the Hogs.
I raised my family in Frisco, TX. The last year of the son in question’s high school we had a mid life crisis and moved to Lake Ouachita so he finished at Mount Ida. He was a pretty good HS player ——- good enough to be passed to play so he got lazy with school work while we were in DFW. If you remember the 2017 AR 2A championship between Mt. Ida and Foreman, my son is the kid they put in as QB in the last 3 minutes of the game that threw the 60 yard TD pass to the regular Veer Offense QB. FWIW, that was one of the last if not the last public appearance from Mitch Petrus before he passed away. We have the footage of the play and his color commentary. He was one of a kind. What a great life story!
He tried to go to U of A but they would not let him in with a 2.8 GPA w/o taking Jr. College classes. Ole Miss allowed him in so he went there. Once he started working at it, he got a scholarship.
Sorry for the long reply but right now, we need legal, legitimate money any way we can get it. Sadly that is the state of today’s NFL Division 2 football. Maybe we will see some tweaking happen so we don’t have kids going to four or more schools or pros coming back to college.
The biggest shock to me about Hog football is that we did not embrace the new system. Look how it has worked for IU.

Not sure why those question marks came up. I tried to post smilie faces and 100 percent signs. I agree with you.

We may be at that point. We certainly will be if this latest experiment doesn’t work.

And the face mask on the OM defender by the UGA receiver near the end of the game. Basically the UGA receiver ripped the Ole Miss player’s head off but Ole Miss got the PI call. Blatant. Should have been Offensive PI.

The Big 10 Ref did all he could to help Georgia win but he came up short.

Did you see the UGA receiver rip the head off of the Ole Miss defender but OM got the PI call?

Agreed. There has to be accountability!
Did you see the GA receiver face mask the OM Defender?

The GA Receiver rips the OM Defender’s head off and Ole Miss gets the PI call. Wow.

Not sure. I am sure I am sick of Arkansas sports personalities taking about how good our player statistics are when we won two games this season. There is nothing good about Arkansas football right now. Show me something Hi Yo Silver.

We are in a tough situation. Potential large donors are not going to support Arkansas until we show them something. In this case, I believe a grass roots campaign is called for. You buy a certain burger from Dave’s Burger or another AR food chain and a portion of the proceeds go to NIL money. You buy a car from a give AR dealer and a portion goes to the NIL. You buy a gallon of Highland dairy milk, a portion goes to the NIL. We need to think outside of the box. We have the most loyal fanbase albeit not the wealthiest in CFB. I can’t think a true Hog fan who wouldn’t pay a little extra to get Arkansas back to what we used to be. We might not be Natty material but on any given Saturday, we could run a front runner’s chances of making it. We were respectable. First things first. Get the NIL funding where it needs to be and then build for a national championship.

Yurachek further embarrassed us with his idiotic decision to let Bama in the playoffs effectively cheating the CFB fan base of a competitive game today. He was the chairman of the committee. The buck stops with him.

Who knows? Considering the manure show we’ve been forced to watch over the last 10 years, I have no idea what to expect next season. I believe if he goes 2-10 his first season, the fan base will implode. Maybe that’s what needs to happen to get the train back on the track. Hoping for the best. Please make me eat my words Hi Yo Silver.

I’m not laughing at you or Bama. The reality is Bama had no business in the playoffs this year. I must admit it’s not surprising Bama was allowed in considering who heads up the Playoff Committee this season. He doesn’t have a good track record when it comes to football.
