That's the only way I see him leaving after this season. May be a real possibility, I guess, if he feels like he can show he's NFL worthy in a different system. He certainly hasn't showed it this year. Not sure if that's because of him, the new offense, or a combination.

I wouldn't say that. The O-line definitely has some deficiencies. Some of that is just inexperience. Some of it is talent.

If the Oline were up to snuff, we would have beaten BYU, LSU, and Ole Miss... And given TAMU a run for their money.

Bama... Possibly as well.

The lines of the team set the boundaries of success and defeat. It sucks. This is really the only reason I have any resentment of Pittman.

If he is the "guru" then get your butt to "Guruing" the oline. Recruit it, work it, develop it... Grrr!

There are not many NFL teams running the veer or the single wing offense, so it would depend if the ones that do would need a QB in the draft.

Other wise change of position or start of a career.

Mostly talent. They couldn't push Western Carolina off the ball. No excuse for that

You know it is going to be a long season when the OL couldn't get any push against Western Carolina and Kent State.

Since when? The only team with less talent than us according to the talent composite is Vanderbilt. It's a both problem.

Agreed, But here is what I also see. Enough talent that If the Oline were even decent, we would have won the LSU/OM and BYU games.

At least. That Oline sucks better than a rainbow vacuum.

BYU has less talent than Arkansas.

LSU has more but not as much as people think.

Ole Miss and Arkansas are similar in talent but gave Bama a much better game.

Bama has more talent than Arkansas but this isn't the typical Saban team.

Very vulnerable SEC West but Arkansas just doesn't take advantage of it.

exactly and this falls squarely on Pittman. How do you not recognize how bad your line is? It’s like we just whiffed on all of these o line recruits. Or we can’t develop talent at all. I mean if our starting 5 we had 2 returning starters 2 4 stars stepping in and a back up answer 4 star in Braun. On paper the line should be good.

Not if KJ decides to hang around another year. He has one more year due to the covid right? I just don't see him going to the league based on how he's looked this year, at least not as a QB. Guess I could be wrong. Hope I am.

Everyone is looking at this all wrong, he will go to the league as a tight end. He has the body of Gronk but maybe stronger. If he has hands at all, and I assume he does, he will play tight end. Travis Kelce was a high school and college quarterback until Brian Kelly or Butch Jones moved him to tight end. Same with Edelman… Tebow would have been a 10+ year starter as a tight end if he had swallowed pride. KJ is a physical freak and can do the same.

If he was smart, he would fake a hand injury this year or something and say I can play tight end or something then showcase tight end for the next year and half. Our tight ends have been the best part of our routes.

He would get to keep all his NIL money going, be able to retire here selling war stories after the pros work or do not work as a tight end.

Looking more and more like it's Pittman and a new OC for 24

Any suggestions for a home run OC?

It won't matter who we get, if Cody Kennedy is still here, and no OC worth a damn will want to work for a dead man walking.

His dismissal should be announced next Friday night.

It won't, but it should be.

I just don't see any logical reason to keep Pittman at this point.

The fans are fully aware what we are in store for if the PTB make that mistake. Which will lead to a significant loss in ticket sales.

They would basically be saying we don't care about football anymore.

I like Pittman and wished it would have worked out, but it's not going to.

Time to move on and, for once in my life(sans Petrino) spend some money, and hire a winning coach.

This will happen, although any new coach is a gamble even if their track record is solid.

Pittman is in the death throes right now, it was obvious in his presser today. If Yurachek was planning on keeping him around, he would've said as much in a statement of support today.

Mike Irwin and Otis Kirk are reversing course saying they have reason to believe he'll be here another year, which practically guarantees he's gone. Then you have every other Arkansas media personality - including some famous sunshine pumpers - saying there's no way you can keep him around after that performance.

If the talking heads on The Buzz are saying he has to go, you know it's bad.

I just don't see Yurachek waiting around with OU and Texas coming in. This is a pivotal time for donations and ticket sales and the fans have checked out. Any responsible AD has to recognize the importance of timing right now more than ever

The short time he tried that in the NFL his blocking was comical though lol
