We all agree that the players aren't the problem. The problem, this season, is 100% on Dan Enos and his terrible offense.

The defense is light years beyond last season. Pittman deserves just as much credit for that hire as blame for the bad OC hire.

I don't believe we'll go 0-8 in SEC play. I also don't believe we will get bowl eligible. I think Pittman gets another year, but he has to replace Dan. There is no way he saves his job and keeps Enos.

That being said, if we do finish 5-7, or worse, Pittman should be on a very hot seat and if Yuracheck does replace him, I won't be sad about it. I gave up on Pittman last season. Specifically the way we blew it against A&M.

Edit: Pittman should be fired today. What a shiteshow.

Very doubtful he fires Enos after one year.

The only coach that needs to leave after this season is the offensive line coach and realistically that’s probably the only coach that will be let go.

If Enos is here next year, expect the same results. He's a far shittier OC than Briles.

Sam needs to go get the best so what established G5 OC he can get if he actually survives this year.

But keep in mind Enos will most likely have a QB more suited to his play calling.

I’ve been in the get rid of Pittman camp since last year about midway through.

I fully expect him to win 4 or 5 more and go to a bowl. We will say look at the turn around and even talk about extending him or giving a raise… which ever…

Then next year when Texas and Florida are both looking for a coach, we will fire Pittman or he will retire.

They’re not much different. We’d still figure out a way to lose the games we do. It was dumb bringing back Enos though and it was a easy hire for Sam

So if we still suck next year, it's because of the players and not him?

And that’s 100% on Sam for letting Briles walk and making the laziest hire imaginable in Enos.

I can't disagree with you on the lazy hire, but I do on letting Briles "walk". Man, he was lifting that skirt at every job available. Miss State, TCU, and the year before two others that he was rumored to be courting. Every year with those infamous red zone calls.

I know that we like to revisit history, and yes... We would be better off than we are with Enos, but I can dig up plenty of threads/posts on how frustrated folks were with Briles.

I’ll always wonder if he’d have kept looking if we had given him a larger raise initially. We gave him a small bump last year and allegedly nothing this year after his flirtation with State.

Briles is considered by a lot of people in the coaching community to be a top tier coordinator. I could see him taking offense to us seemingly taking him for granted. Btw tcu beat byu 44-11…

2008–2011 Baylor (IWR/ORC)
2012–2014 Baylor (WR/PGC)
2015–2016 Baylor (OC/QB)
2017 Florida Atlantic (AHC/OC/QB)
2018 Houston (AHC/OC/QB)
2019 Florida State (OC/QB)
2020–2022 Arkansas (OC/QB)
2023–present TCU (AHC/OC/QB)

His history say's that he is a journeyman for sure. Dude ain't staying anywhere very long. Unless he is the HC.

Now, is that what we want?

Yup, he can't throw the ball worth a shite.

Might want to look at KJ's inabilities first hoss.

I'm really disappointed in Dan's ability to read a defense and work through his progression.

He isn't the same QB we thought we were getting from Michigan State.

Not if KJ decides to hang around another year. He has one more year due to the covid right? I just don't see him going to the league based on how he's looked this year, at least not as a QB. Guess I could be wrong. Hope I am.
