If we're gonna go back to losing a few per year I'd much rather do that with Kiffin.
I cant hardly stand to look at DeBoer with that sissy fricking look on his face all the time talking about how well the team prepared before losing to Vandy lol does he think anyone believes that bullshite
You have serious mental health issues and need to get help

The ACC is arse cheeks. I don't think you can honestly evaluate what they've done since getting dismantled by Georgia.
My honest opinion is Clemson is probably no better or worse than us in 2024 but they aren't playing as good of competition.

With uga as the lone common opponent so far, no.

If he wants to be an analyst and bring James Smith, 100%.

This season has been an unmitigated disaster for Ole Miss. They pumped so much money into this team, they had a favorable schedule, yet they're likely bound for 8-4 or worse. I have no idea how you people continue to be enamored with Kiffin. I can only assume it's some sort of mental setup where if we wins a game you think "OH MY GOD HE WON AT OLE MISS" and if he loses, even to a vastly inferior opponent (as happens to his teams every season), you think "well it's impossible to win at Ole Miss." So he's just immune from any criticism. They continue to lose badly to almost every decent opponent they play. This Ole Miss season has already vindicated why he would have been a garbage hire.

He's absolutely not "one of ours." He was an assistant here for under three seasons and had to be fired before the national championship because he was too toxic and checked out to retain. Also I'm not sure in what sense he's not a beta. There's nothing remotely masculine about him. He's passive aggressive and cringe. He has trophy girlfriends but anyone could do that making millions. He's absolutely a beta.
Anyway, his teams are completely undisciplined and are never physical, so I'm not sure how you're imagining this supposed alpha male personality playing out on the field.

No. He’s helpless and unarmed in the new era of college football. I think DeBoer has as good a chance as anyone to navigate that new era once he gets his people in and things in general reach an equilibrium.

I clearly said if we are going to be mid pack I'd rather be mid pack with Kiffin. At least he's entertaining and has a personality

Dabo would've benched him like Kelly Bryant

I like Dabo more now than when it was first discussed about him being Saban's replacement. It will be interesting to see how he and other coaches and programs navigate in the new paradigm for college football. I have often wondered about the demise of famous/solid programs. The ones I refer to are Notre Dame, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Miami, Tennessee, USC and most recently Florida. The three that happened for no apparent reason were Nebraska, Tennessee and Florida. I can see some reasons for the others. There may be a couple of casualties due to NIL. I don't know why, but my gut feeling is Notre Dame may rebound with NIL.

I don’t want Dabo in Tuscaloosa, but the longer this vacuum of leadership in college sports continues, the more respect I have for him. He was not only prescient enough to see the ramifications of the portal, NIL, etc, but he also chose to make a stand against it all, and he did it when nobody else would. He chose to die on that hill was what everyone said, but he didn’t die on that hill. He not only survived but appears to be thriving on that hill.
Saban saw what was coming too and he spoke out against it, but in the end, decided to play the game by those rules. No disrespect to Nick, he knew that was the only way to keep the dynasty rolling and he did it.
But Dabo decided he was going to do it his own way and it’s working. Hats off to Dabo.

I wouldn’t call Clemson’s last few seasons or this one exactly thriving, kinda good to decent team is about all they are IMO

Kalen Dubose is not an "elite level" coach. He is not overwhelmed by the talent on this roster. For the last 2 years he was the beneficiary of arguably the best qb (Penix) in college football and 2 first round wide receivers. We are atrocious at qb. He's not the coach we need. Saban was the GOAT at hiring coordinators. Coordinators win championships. Kirby won us 3 before he left. Lane won us 2 when he brought the offense into the 21st century. Sark, the qb whisperer, somehow tranformed Mac Jones into a stud and won us another one. Those are the 6rings Saban had. Great run. Those 3 coaches have their own programs, as you know. It's over for us. We had a good run. Settle in for mediocre football played with 5 star athletes that are now being payed handsomely.

DeBoer had a championship caliber OC. He’s currently working for the Seahawks.

but this OC's wife wasn't going to live in the deep south. Never understood why he came and recruited for Bama, when he knew it was a matter of time before he was gong back to the north west
