...and?
I'm just glad that there is a chance that Auburn will lose to Yale in the Sweet Sixteen. :doublebird:

We all know they cheat at recruiting, paying players etc etc etc

The obvious bias by the officials

They get all the calls

Do you see it being the same run off the mill bama cheating?

You really need to get those lead paint chips out of your diet.

re: Surtain named NFL Def POY

This pretty much covers it:

quote:

According to Next Gen Stats, Surtain was targeted on only 10.9% of his coverage snaps this season -- the lowest rate among 83 cornerbacks with 300 or more coverage snaps.

Surtain also didn't allow receivers to catch many of those targets. He gave up only 306 receiving yards as the nearest defender across 516 coverage snaps, translating to 0.6 yards per coverage snap, which was the second-fewest among the same group of cornerbacks.

And Surtain wasn't just covering anybody. He was going against the best of the best virtually every time out. He guarded the likes of DK Metcalf, Mike Evans, Garrett Wilson, Jakobi Meyers, Jerry Jeudy, Ja’Marr Chase and more -- and Surtain didn't allow more than 50 receiving yards in a single game this season.

If Texas falls off, it won't be until 2026--they still have a weak-arse conference schedule.

re: Harold Perkins Ole Miss or Auburn

Even Pete Golding could use Perkins better than LSU did.
I'd put South Carolina in over Bama. Bama may have more talent, but SCar is playing better and more consistently, regardless of the head to head results.
We don't need playmakers.

We need players more interested in development than NIL money.
We need players who want to be part of a team, not a collective.
We need players who are willing to do what it takes to win.

This committee is so frickin dumb they operate with zero consistency whatsoever.

This. If there were any sense to the rankings, people wouldn't be so pissed. Instead, they seem to be ranking like ADHD kids, screaming "SQUIRREL!!!" everytime someone asks about strength of schedule.

Because, seriously, the strength of schedule disparity among the top 12 is ridiculous.
1. Continuation of the performance we saw against LSU.
2. Consistency.
3. Backups get a load of playing time.

re: Penn state overranked

Penn State's main problem is that Franklin chokes under pressure.
They got rid of the BCS because they got a championship game with two SEC teams.

Isn't 2 feet past the endzone a bit close to have plants anyway? I remember in our game against you, one of your players getting injured because he ended up in the hedges. and DAMN, your stands are really close to the field.
The plants aren't the problem so much as the metal fence supporting them, but yeah, they're too damn close to the field. They need to move the fence back a couple of feet, but they don't have the space to realistically do so.

One of our WRs (Kevin Brown?) was injured when he hit the fence while sprinting for a pass.
Penn State's last offensive series.

1st and goal on OSU's 3.

3 straight dives up the middle and a bad pass play on 4th down.

Not a good analogy: If a player makes a gesture that could remotely be construed as a fair catch, it's treated as a fair catch signal.
