He has already broken the brains of many on this board. If Kiffin goes on a generational run i doubt the vast majority of posters here will be able to handle it and may just quit watching college football altogether and/or be put in a padded room.

Saban's run was predicated upon discipline, something Lane has not displayed in great abundance.

Perhaps we should wait until he actually coaches a game for LSU before you anoint him the Second Coming.

Next Dabo will be accusing people of stealing signs.

No, Miami proved that the format sucks and is nothing more than a tournament where a team can get hot and/or lucky and make it far rather than it being about finding who it the best team in the country.

So, exactly like March Madness.

At least, they should be.

Why would you possibly care ?

You must be new here.

You were dropped on your head as an infant.

Repeatedly.

Dang when does IU start resting the starters

After they curbstomp Miami.

Well the blow out should make Bama fans feel slightly better

It does.

Slightly.
Oh hey, Oregon might get beat worse than we did.

It would have been entertaining to see another attempt from 15 yards closer, perhaps to a receiver underneath the coverage who could then pitch to a trailing back aka the old flea flicker.

That's a hook & ladder/lateral, not a flea flicker.

poor Bama, resorting to living in the past
how long before a 2011 post

To be fair, 21-Eaux was pretty impressive.

This year is an anomaly, re: buying a roster.

We don't have enough data to determine if this year is an anomaly or the new normal; I'm leaning towards the latter. After all, Vandy almost made the playoffs.

So it'll be a question of who best uses their budgets--like the NFL without salary caps.
Grubbs, OL coach, RB coach.

Grubbs has no feel for playcalling in the SEC. Everybody in the stadium knew the jet sweep was coming on 4th down; run a counter or playaction off of that.

Defense played hard, but just got worn down.

I got one of these bad boys when I graduated HS in 1981.

White exterior, red interior, t-top, 5 liter v8. God, I loved that car..
Texas had been in the lead for some time, but all this nonsense over the playoffs has puched the Irish ahead.

Dude has had a Hate Boner for the Tide since I started watching football

It began in the Curry era. The year BEFORE Curry left, Brando reported that Curry was planning to leave for some other school--can't remember which.

The UA President at the time, Roger Sayers, went on TV and called out Brando and basically saying that Brando was full of shite.

A week later, Bama played A&M at College Station, a game that was postponed from earlier in the year due to a hurricane that was predicted to hit nearby (it missed completely). ESPN made a big deal of the game, since there wasn't much else on that night. Brando was calling the game. At one point they cut to a Tuscaloosa bar to show students watching the game.

Right as they cut to the bar, some guy in the bar starts a "Tim Brando Sucks" chant.
Auburn, it could be worse.

You could be Penn State.

Penn State is ranked . . .

150

Almost literally nowhere to go but Up!
The main reason for all of this nonsense is the NCAAs moronic decision to put Signing Day right before the playoff.
Those who are pissed at him are pissed because of the way he drew this out. Yes, it's a big decision, but have some respect for the players that put you in that position.

Kinda similar to Bill Curry leaving Alabama--The second he set foot on a plane to interview at Kentucky, everyone knew he was gone, and he dragged it out for a week so he could enjoy all the attempts to convince him to stay. See also the LeBron circus when he left Cleveland.

I don't fault Kiffin for taking another job--I just don't think he's going to an appreciably better situation. Yes, LSU has won championships, but right now university leadership is dysfunctional at best.

Any rumors about Lane getting into trouble in Oxford?
