After seeing a lot of talk about Waddle, it seems like a lot of people put him above Devonta. I think Devonta is the best player on our team (including injured players) and was curious what other people thought. Obviously Mac is playing lights out and we have a lot of other really good players, but to me, Devonta has big time NFL receiver written all over him.

I think that Smith, Jones, and Harris all can make a case. They are all exceptional.

DeVonta. I always thought he was the best. Even over Jeudy and Ruggs. The guy is so competitive and clutch

Devonta is the most clutch and the best leader. Waddle is (was) the most explosive/dangerous for other teams. Mac is very good. Najee is very good.

I’d have to guess NFL scouts drool when they see: Waddle, Devonta, Dickerson and Neal.

As for best player; I’m going to go with the OL as a unit.

I'm not sure anyone is playing their position better than Landon Dickerson is at the moment. The last two games he has been dominant.

Najee has thoroughly impressed me this season. I'll be honest, I wasn't as happy that he came back as I was with Smith, but he's played like a Heisman contender and right now I'd vote for him, even over Mac.

I like Waddle over Smith. In my opinion, Smith has the best hands and is the better jump ball receiver, but Waddle is the better deep threat and better after the catch while still having great hands. It depends on what you prefer, but I think Waddle is a little harder for us to replace. I believe both to be better than Jeudy or Ruggs.

a lot of good answers but one of our most underrated so far has been surtain imo. he did get burned on one last night but despite our defenses struggles so far, he has been pretty good on the outside and looks like a potentially pretty good pro to me this year.

Hard to say, we have so many offensive weapons, but I would say Waddle because of his speed/explosiveness (that speed can’t be replaced) but mostly because of what he could do after the catch.

Jobe and Surtain should be up there. They continue to show up each and every game, I think this week against State, they will get tested and should play well.

I’d say Smith and Harris (and Waddle was right there, too). Mac has the best chance of any of them to win the Heisman, though.

Smitty doesn’t miss if you get it near him. Waddle is the most dangerous, explosive player to ever wear Crimson, including the Deuce. I’ve seen both. Waddle is more of a weapon. Najee has evolved into a poor man’s King Henry. Mac is a cerebral version of Tua. Dickerson has cleaned up his game and the meanest fricking mauler we’ve had on the OL since Mike Johnson. I’m glad he’s cut out the stupid penalties.

Any one of those is our best player on any given day. There would be defensive candidates too if Golding wasn’t such an arse clown.

It's impossible to label anyone as best because they all have different jobs.. Imo, we'd miss Mac Jones more than anybody....and I suspect CNS would agree.

Smith is money when you need to move the chains but Harris is starting to remind me of Henry's last season.Harris continues to get better every week and it seems we lean on him more and more each week.

Harris is a better catcher out of the backfield than Henry. Henry finished the season with 2310yds(91 rec) through 15 games. Harris through 5 games has 742yds(147 rec). Henry finished the season with 28 TDs and Harris currently has 14 TDs. Now Henry avg 26 carries a game where Harris is avg 20 a game plus almost 3 catches a game.

Before anyone assumes I am saying Harris is better let me clarify and say I am not. But the season Harris is having and on pace to have I could see him at the Heisman ceremony.

Surtain is projected in many mock drafts top 10. What is amazing to me all the players projected to be drafted from this team.

Most mock drafts out there right now have Surtain, Waddle, Leatherwood, Smith, and Moses in the 1st rd. The one that caught me by surprise is every mock draft also has Barmore 1st rd, even in the top 10. That is 6 players in the first rd. Most 2nd rd mocks right now have Harris, Ray, Brown, and Jobe.

That is possibly 10 players in the first 2 rounds and I think Dickerson will go in one of those rounds. A lot to have to replace next year.

Going to be in rebuild mode on offense next year, probably only 3 starters coming back.

Young better be as good as advertised.

WTF man! Let me guess, you'd remind your starting pitcher he's got a no hitter going in the 6th..

was Waddle. Now I suppose Smith or Harris. If Jones keeps playing as well as he has, and it will naturally be more difficult now without Waddle, then he will be in consideration for not only the best player on the team, but in the nation.

edit to make the obvious note that without the offensive line playing well none of the skill players would be showing out

speaking of Harris, he appeared to be unhappy or pissed on the sideline in the 4th quarter. I guess maybe dejected and/or concerned about Waddle's injury?
