What do you learn from a game like this?

Is the defense not good or is this just a case of a guy playing out of his mind against us?
Did the weather delay have anything to do with it?

The o line and KR take away a lot in the game. Huge confidence build.

We won by 2 scores after we were down by 2 scores in the first half.

I understand the game plan was, take away the run, play man up on D, and make Daniels beat us throwing the ball. The problem with it was, he was beating us throwing the ball. We should’ve probably given our corners some safety help. Especially against the 6-6 guy

I learned that Dijon Lee is going to need to get better because teams are going his way all year with 2 on the other side.
In fairness I suppose Duce Robinson is a pretty dang good WR.

We have a lot of potential. We can play great in spurts. Our depth and conditioning seems better than everyone we have played thus far. Russell needs to stop overthinking and just play. Our running backs are pretty damn good, but they take time -- like novocaine. Our defense is full of ball hawks but sometimes get lost in the sauce, need a real defensive play caller that takes control and gets everyone in place.

Hopefully, this is a wake up call for the defense. I still think they’re good but they’re not good enough to scare anyone. They’re gonna have to play better. Period.

Kind of the DeBoer experience in a nutshell. I really don't think they take games like this as seriously as they will take UGA, LSU, UTk, and Aggy.

This team is still a work in progress. I feel like Keelon will only get better.
Nice to see the emergence of that fireplug RB towards the end of the game. Reminded me of Mark Ingram.

I learned Bama sucks when I bother to watch and we're amazing when I take my arse outside to mow the grass or fix the grounding issue on my truck and just have the game on the radio.
Last week, we're down 14-7 and I went to mow grass and burn a load of yard debris. Today, down 21-6 and went to replace the shitty ground cables on the truck.
I'm done trying to watch the games. Waste of time apparently.

What did we learn? We are very good; both on defense and offense.
FSU had two weeks to prepare and people conveniently forgot they gave SMU everything. They were never coming to lay down.
I expect us to continue to build on this next week then against MSU.
Then we have Georgia

I think it's becoming glaringly obvious, across the nation, that every coach in college football is struggling to get consistency and focus out of their team. Jekyll and Hyde performances from legacy schools for entire games or entire halves and it's becoming far more the norm than the outlier. It's almost becoming survive and advance mode, be satisfied with the win and move on and try to continue to coax focus out of your players.
I would have to believe that over half of all college football players at the larger universities have agent representation that spends a lot of time blowing up these players each week regarding niche NIL opportunities, business investments, etc ,etc.... As a coach, it's gotta be hell trying to work around having 80 entrepreneurs constantly distracted.
