He probably wanted way more money then we were willing to pay so he sulked back to Athens to be Kirby's lap dog. I honestly couldn't care less about T Rob specifically...I just want to keep Downs and our secondary together

This is exactly where I am with it. If you don’t have the stones to be the guy and need another man to hold your hand to do a job, then bye.

Seems like a bad decision on his part… co-DC is more important than DC? I doubt UGA offered him more for co-DC than we offer for DC… that doesn’t seem likely.

If they did, it kinda echos the same sentiment we see from many of the transferring players. It’s not about the team, or the other players… cash, and only cash make the decisions now

I really do think the Defense is a closer brotherhood and closer to Saban than the other side of the ball.

So far, we've seen offensive players bolt but not a ton of defensive players.

We've also seen Malachi Moore and Deonte Lawson hopping on Ryan Williams' instagram page during his TAMU visit.

I think we have some players and leaders stepping up.

Maquize maze just posted we are about to see another big name hit the portal. I’m assuming he is speaking of Downs. He also may be full of it. My mind set has changed though. We got who we got and if you can’t be patient enough to wait it out and see who is coming, then piss on you. Go on.

Ill defend Robinson here...he owes Bama nothing. He did what he was paid for and if UGA is a better opportunity that pays more, he should take it. Bama will be just fine

I don’t think Maze knows anything if we’re being honest. I think he’s just saying some spiel about transfers are going to happen and it’s just one guy, don’t flip out

I don’t know why Maze would have some inside plug with the current state of the program, it’s not like Saban’s feeding him info

Making that prediction isn’t exactly going out on a limb. Downs is a very real possibility to transfer now.

I'm hearing Smart offered Saban a nicer office in Athens, and he is weighing his options. Please respect his decision.

Travaris Robinson interviewed with new @AlabamaFTBL coach Kalen DeBoer for several hours Sunday for the defensive coordinator job, but has decided to remain at Georgia, sources tell ESPN.

Chris Low
its also possible this is one of those Kirby sleeze tactics. Robinson never intended to come back, just wanted to interview and refuse to make bama look bad and Georgia look good. That's 100% something bowlcut would do. Plus Robinson is a barner so I'm sure he doesn't have any particular love for bama

Exactly where I am in my stages of copium. The South Alabama dude is young, seems enthusiastic, I’m not too certain past that, but in the age we are in and the way you have to actively befriend players to keep them that attitude may work well.

Yeah, tbh I think working under Saban specifically as a resume builder is the ONLY reason a barner would have wanted to work at Bama. Now he’s with Saban Lite in Kirby Smart.

This is understated. I’m not going to get upset anytime we lose a coach that has deep ties to lil bro.

He obviously feels like he needs to keep learning under defensive minded HCs, which I’m fine with. Take our lumps, push forward with decent seasons in the next 2, and get things rolling in year 3 with Sayin or Simpson as a returning starter.

Absolute worst time for Saban to retire. Probably going to cost Alabama a playoff berth next year.
