You want to fire Saban because we just went 11-1. You are dumb.

Our offensive identity, gameplan and play calling need to play more to our stengths, instead of subjecting us to our weaknesses. Use perimeter, stretch and misdirection runs, screens, swing passes, quick short & intermediate throws, rollout rpos, slight delay release of RB to vacated area for an easy throw, etc. That stuff has worked well -- it keeps us ahead in the chains, sustains drives AND helps open up the imside running game too.

I think this starts with Saban. I've been pleased with the Daboll hire overall, but our gameplan has simply been off at times, and Saban has the biggest hand in that. Not a big deal, every coach slips up from time to time.

The gameplan looked like it was to attack AU’s weakness, but that requires a good passing game, which we don’t have at least not on a consistent basis. So yea it’s a little odd the staff was confident enough to go into the game with that plan.

yes, we are exactly at that point. the question now is, do we ENCOURAGE saban to retire, like fsu did to bowden, or do we let him bleed the program out like les miles.........that is where we are.....

Whatever the game plan was, all you have to do is look at the opening drive of the third quarter to see the blueprint to win the game. We executed it perfectly.

And then we stopped doing it, and went back to the weird dysfunctional plan from the first half.

It's confusing as all get-out.

Yea like I get why they didn’t want to run at a loaded AU box with the studs they have, but it actually worked a few times and I wish we would’ve gone down swinging (running the ball).

No knock on Jalen, its more so that Tua seems like he could be a Baker Mayfield type player. You win Huddie, and Data and all of you other sonsofbitches

Well, not really. I lost. We all lost, but we can get better. Perhaps not this year, but we can get better.

Well, Daboll comes from the Patriots, who always gameplan their offense that week based on the weakness of the defense they are playing. The difference is we don’t have Tom Brady, haha.

Not sure what direction the staff goes with QB coming up. Yea we have Hurts now, but he is the only true dual threat on the roster.

I’m pretty sure Tua could use his legs just like Stidham did on us last night, ha.

I agree about the OL.

I think our main issues right now are the following (in no particular order:)

1.) OL coaching fricking sucks. We get whipped. This year I've seen this team get whipped on both sides by LSU & AU.

2.) Saban is/was fricking fixated on Deshaun Watson/Cam Newton. He knew how hard it is to stop a genuine dual thread QB. Watson was tearing up the NFL but let's be real. He COULD be a generational talent.

3.) Saban is getting mellow-er in his older age. Which is fine but that allows complacency to set in.

4.) I don't know who the Alpha dog is for this Bama team. Last year we had Jonathan Allen & Eddie Jackson who seemed to be fantastic leaders. I had hopes that Jalen would be that Alpha on offense after his "get on the bus" talk @ Half time. Calvin Ridley seems to be a diva. I can't really comment because I'm not in the locker room. Just an opinion.

5.) We always preach that the best players get on the field. I've been a bit skeptic on this. I think we play the most consistent but not the most talented. (Which you need a strong mix. It's verryyyy hard to do). However, if we don't have that in house competition then it's a mute point.

The only two things Hurts can do well is run and run. He ain't a dual threat QB bruh.

There is a massive OL development issue in the UA program.

Boom. What I've been saying all last night and today. Something I posted in other threads:

"Our 2015 class was Cotton, #3 OG, Pettibon, #4 OG, and Womack, #67 OT.

Would anyone in their right mind suggest that Lester Cotton is currently the #3 guard among all 3rd year guards in the country?

Has Pettibon ever played a meaningful snap?

Has Womack played any better than his ranking would suggest?

Poor OL evaluation and recruiting and/or poor OL coaching when they get to Tuscaloosa.

You can shape your offense around Jalen all you want, but the OL from the glory days aren't coming back. Neither is Pendry or Stoutland."

And, the talent disparity is so great we don't need anything close to a Tom Brady. All we need is a respectable passer.

I believe Pendry is still involved with the OL. Some guys simply don't pan out as players. With that said, I think Jalen is a bigger issue than the OL.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought our oline wasn't that awful yesterday. We had a good rushing average, and Jalen had decent time to throw.

The average is misleading. Take away three long runs, and Harris and Bo averaged a little over 3 YPC. That's not good by Alabama standards. Not at all.

Just seems like we're continuously getting 2 or 3 star play out of 4 and 5 star linemen.

Womack was 3 stars and the #67 OT in the country three years ago.

That's exactly the level of play we're getting.

13 higher rated OTs were signed by SEC schools that year.
