I don't care if it's every single DL and every single DL's parents. They've played 7 games and received enough special treatment already.

Should not be moved. Who’s to say there won’t be an issue at a later date? Plus we have Sark and Texas issues.

We played the Iron Bowl without our head coach. We have been down two key contributors because we played a full schedule. So they are down a couple of position guys? That isn't our problem.

I understand you guys are pissed, but it's not just that they're down two DL. They may have backup DL out as well due to contact tracing. The issue right now isn't the overall # of players who are out. Rather, it's the number of players who may be out from one position group.

And they didn’t prepare and adjust for this? Dumb on their part. This season is what it is.

From two highly credible sources this morning. Justin Fields is fine. Ribs are going to be a non factor.

This just proves one of two things:

Either Alabama has been lying about players and Covid issues (which considering three times a week they have been sending tests to a SEC picked lab and seemingly every other SEC school has had large outbreaks).

Or

Alabama has taken this way more seriously then seemingly any other program. How has nearly every program had major outbreaks during the season yet we've seemingly only had minor issues in season?

Facts = stupid shite?

Only said they're not down just 2 DL. Didn't even provide an opinion on whether the game should be played or postponed.

My reading of the rumors is that in addition to the two starters, it may be a backup or two on the DL, which puts that position group at risk.

Tell that to Bama's 2019 LBs and DLs.

I saw this rumor start yesterday posted on a OSU board but actually came from a UA board by a poster claiming to know someone in the program. Of they have talked but at no time has anyone from either program said it was going to happen.

Need to remember a few things here. The guys they were missing against CU will be back for Monday. They completed their quarantine.

Two the guys that now have it would still be out if the game got moved to the 18th, the following week, to meet the quarantine protocols.

If they were such a concern with Covid at OSU and the spread of it, through contact, why did they have practice yesterday and today.

Also if Fields ribs are as bad as people think another week would not help to be honest.

That article is a hack at best. The only truth in it is yes OSU players prior to the game had it and missed the CU game. OSU players after the game now have it and will miss Monday's game. The 18th was always locked in as the backup date due to Covid concerns in Miami. The city and state were worried the 11th may be to close to holiday increases and the game would need to be pushed to the 18th to allow for numbers to go down.

All the speculation on concerns and possibly moving the game come from what sources. The only sources that are credible in that article not one time said anything about playing the game outside of the 11th nor did they say anything the article was alluding to. Again a hack and nothing more.

The real question is if the CU OC had Covid and therefore could not coach at the game how come no CU players had it and missed the game. Interesting to say the least that the OSU players that have now got Covid are DL players who it is believed they got it via contact in the game.

After their bullshite cakewalk into the playoffs and all the special consideration theyve gotten this season, IDGAF if they have to call up walkons from the scout team .

Theyve been practicing all week. If they had that many people quarantining, we would know. Hell the facility would probably be shut down.

There has to be some level of truth to the Covid rumors considering how SEC and B1G representatives acknowledged and reacted to them. My theory is that the rumor that 2 starting D-lineman are out is true and that OSU inquired about postponing earlier in the week. From there it is easy for exaggeration and hearsay to be believed and become "sources."

Yeah, one of the OSU reporters isn't putting much stock in what DP said:
quote:

Simply don't understand where this continues to come from ...
If Ohio State was "very close" to needing to postpone the title game, the facility simply would not have remained open and there would not have been any practices this week. The Buckeyes expect to play Monday.

quote:

The Woody remains open today, practice is scheduled in the afternoon and there will be another virtual Media Day with Ryan Day, Kevin Wilson, Justin Fields and a few more Buckeyes on offense.
