Indiana is setting themselves up for dissaster if they think they are going to go in and bully Bama.

It's not just him.

At least I don't panick and call it a game in the first quarter. I wait till the 4th to panic.

Simpson has real talent and can play well for stretches. At times, he has a broad field of view and processes quickly. He has quickness and a strong arm.

The issue isn’t snap-to-snap inconsistency, it’s good runs followed by prolonged downturns. From a performance-psychology standpoint, he looks like a high-reactivity quarterback whose brain state shifts under sustained pressure. When stress builds over time, chemistry changes, execution tightens, and he doesn’t reset quickly.

That matters at quarterback.

The position rewards players who can stay mentally neutral for long periods. Simpson appears to cross a stress threshold where poise degrades and stays degraded until conditions change. That puts a ceiling on him as a long-term, high-level starter, especially in environments with constant pressure and evaluation.

In short:

He can get better.
He can’t become someone he isn’t.
And at quarterback, that sets a real ceiling.

That being said, the "good" Ty Simpson could take us all the way. It really comes down to luck and brain chemistry
First of all, what the hell else is going to happen after the offensive struggles of the last half of the season?

This reminds me of the "Lank" crap going into the playoffs a couple of years ago. It is a symptom of low standards.

I hated the wild celebratory at atmosphere after the Auburn game when we barely pulled out a win against a terrible team.

I hope these guys understand that we were very fortunate to win and have not "arrived" as they seem to.believe.

I want a cool, confident qb who leads the team and doesnt react to every minor success like some giddy school girl.

And this crap is spreading to the fan base with all the hate for former players who look at the film and fill disgusted.

Holy heck, if this attitude is desemintaing down from Deboer, we are are in trouble.
There once was a kicker so dire,
Every swing met the crowd’s full-on ire.

From shanks born of fear,
He found calm, through the year—

Now he splits every post like a wire.
True story about Ty's helmet.

His face guard broke after the opening drive against FSU. It was repaired after the game and he wore it for 7 games.

Then, it broke again and became his backup.

Tonight, the new helmet had an ear hole issue. The old helmet..the good one... replaced it.

True story.

Definitely a Bama hater.

It hit his hands. Would the ou dudes have caught it?

It did not hit his hands. He doesnt catch with his hands. It hit his chest.

He literally cant catch a football.
The Turning point was Ty's new helmet. It's equipped with a cranial lithium drip.

Ty doesn't see the field. He doesnt see the rush. We need to bench one of the recievers he never uses and replace him with a seeing eye dog.

Grubb has not helped Ty mentally at all.

Because he is a football coach, not a psychiatrist.
Dont they do tackle drills at all?
Ty doesn't have good mechanics. Most of the time, he doesnt even plant his feet.

Hes always in a panic. Gun shy
You see him falling back as he made that throw. I have never seen anything like it.

Ty was never a starter in my opinion. He has no poise. He doesnt see the rush. His form is terrible. He is a mental headcase.

Look at that offenses posture. We might as well substitute tackles for thd receivers.
If we know we have zero chance with Ty, why in the hell not try something different?

That is what I can't understand?
We would have been shut out against Georgia without their stupid personal foul penalties.

5 quarters of an offense with no scoring ability whatsoever.
Our only hope is....

Ty's new helmet.
The offense needs a leader on the field. They need some hope.
