re: What is Bama’s QB route for 2020? - RiverCityTider
Looks like people are already writing off baby Tua. I think he gives Jones a run for his money....

re: Justin Eboigbe is up to 294 lbs ?!?!?!?! - RiverCityTider
I want to apologise to Prevatt. He's obviously a smart guy who knows the game and cares about the Tide. I mean that sincerely. And thank you Data for gently pointing out to me that I was being a jerk....

re: Justin Eboigbe is up to 294 lbs ?!?!?!?! - RiverCityTider
The verb tense "had had" is past perfect, denoting the the past of the past. This means that the time of having 5 extra pounds of fat around my stomach extended from 3rd grade until the first part of the sentence - senior year of football. If the fat had continued until now, I would have wr...

re: I am excited to be talking about football again. - RiverCityTider
My hope is that we redevelop the old toughness in the running game. There is nothing more devastating than true balance. I was quite surprised at how ineffective we were a times on the ground last year. It was always assumed that if Bama ever had an first round caliber QB in combination with ...

re: Bama National Titles / Playoff Format - RiverCityTider
This ones a little harder to defend, but 73 might have been one. Bama was extremely tight going into the ND Sugar Bowl. We basically forfeited the first quarter, then proceeded to out gain ND by almost 200 yards in the final three quarters. It took a returned kick and the only missed PAT of the year...

re: Bama National Titles / Playoff Format - RiverCityTider
The most likely addition would have been '77. They were very very powerful by years end. I doubt Texas or ND could have handled them....

re: Football Recruiting & Roster ~ Tide Rollin' - RiverCityTider
Maybe he should mention quality of coaching and strength and conditioning occasionally when discussing where to send his boy. He's worried about too many carries when he should be worried about his son getting enough carries. Isn't it a bit arrogant or entitled. First things first. First start...

re: Football Recruiting & Roster ~ Tide Rollin' - RiverCityTider
Sometimes you have to play with abandon and single mindedness. If daddy has you thinking about the knees or "just three more years to bitches and mansions" while your still a child in high school, then how is that instilling the warrior mindset that leads to greatness, college or pro? ...
Here's an interesting article from Rivals about RB recruiting. Kendall Milton's father is quoted throughout and he seems to have a good grasp of how RBs should be used in college.  Elite running backs focused on big picture in recruiting
Sort of a turn off. The greatest spec...

re: Board Suggestions and Complaints - RiverCityTider
My God people! Look what you've become. Calling for one another's scalps. Backstabbing one another. What this board needs is more civility. More tolerance of diverse opinion. We can disagree and still respect one another. It's called respect. It's called being gentlemen. Let's up our ga...

Look. I like Oats. And you like Oats. But football's always thriving. Hope for Basketball to be thriving too. But get a clue. If this post seems queer and funny to your ear, a little bit jumbled and jivy, hear this... I trust Oats and You trust Oats, but basketballs been diving. And gymnastic...
