I know you were stressed about this game all weekend.

But you're becoming WinterofGeorge. Get out of your funk brah.

Gene was here the entire Avery Johnson era. He was here Oats entire first year. He was here the first 3 weeks of last season. He then disappeared the entire rest of the season and now has magically shown back up now.

I like what Gene posts most of the time, but he knows exactly what he is doing.

This team makes bipolar people seem stable. Best I can say about this season, so far.

I'll agree with that regarding him.

I just mean in general though.

Coach?

“Hey team, if you can see the rim, fire up a 3! I don’t care if we are 3 for 41 so far!”

THAT deserves the title of Coach?

Only two things in life truly tempt me to lose control of myself - bad Alabama basketball and bad Braves baseball.

The last 6 weeks has not been kind to my emotional state

JD and Quinn are terrified to shoot the ball .. If it wasn’t for Shackleford it would be ugly

Sorry, this topic / some of the posts were just too "I don't watch CBB" to ignore. I also have a track record of serious and rational takes on this board to maintain

So ...

Last years team had Petty, Primo , Bruner and Jones in the starting lineup..so we're down 4 starters from last year and Gary is hurt..

Just how exactly is "most of the team" back?

Disappeared from all boards. Just haven't spent as much time on SECr since babyChin was born. Hard enough to get time to watch sports let alone talk extensively about them

My main team board even tried to replace my main bball thread because I was inactive/not updating it

I posted a congrats on beating Gonzaga/UH + inquiry on how you guys feel heading into SEC Play .... Just stupidly did it on the recruiting thread

I also talked about Oats earlier this season and his NBA viability/overall praise. I've been very pro Oats from his hire

Oats and the team will die a slow death over the next 2 months.
That is guaranteed.

Now, Oats will have to do sone soul searching in the offseason.

Does he seek advice, learn from mistakes, find a better approach?

Does he just be lazy and try the same thing again, expecting different results?

We missed on Bruce Pearl and ended up with Avery.

Then, we missed on Rick Pitino and ended up with Oats.

2 HUGE misses. Imagine this program if we just got one of those guys.

Those guys had baggage that most Bama fans couldn't handle for some odd reason.

Got to be a pretty terrible coach and motivator to go from first to worst with most of the team coming back. All the returning players have regressed.

This post is stupid as frick.

Of our 8 players that averaged more than 10 minutes a game last year, we lost 5 (Herb, Petty, Primo, Bruner, & Reese) and returned 3 (Shackelford, Quinerly, & Ellis).

Quinerly and Shackelford are the only returning players who played starters minutes last year.

We most certainly didn’t have most of the team coming back.

Go frick yourself, your sister, your mother, your cousin and the family pig if they aren’t all the same thing.

Why do you stupid white trash piece of shite think you have the right to say frick you and that I am a shitty fan because I don’t blow sunshine up your arse and think everything that comes out of Tuscaloosa is all roses, marshmallows, sunshine, and daisies.

Shitty fans are the ones that complain about how the refs stole a game, that it’s a kids fault that we lost, they are the ones that deride kids because they don’t live up to their star rating or complain when leave the university for personal reasons.

I simply stated that I think Oats is not a good coach. One good season and some are ready to crown him the next Dean Smith, Adolf Rupp, or John Wooden.

Even Ed Orgeron won a national championship, does that mean he is a great coach?

What a FOG thread if I’ve ever seen one. You ain’t posted all fricking year in our basketball thread and now you wanna start this shitty thing.

Guarantee you’ve only watched 3 or 4 games this season.

This ain’t an Oats problem, His offense works..It gets wide open looks all the time…he can’t make the shots for the kids.
