Wow. This is maybe the strongest take based on no evidence that I've ever seen on this board, and that's saying something.

Don't ya'll think that some of you are overreacting a little bit? It is possible for student to take July off to get their stuff together.

Bullshite. Saban needs to cut him and Kaho and send the rest of the team to the Alabama equivalent of Junction frickin Texas for some manhood training.

Im sick of this soft shite and all the coddling that's come along with it.

Is it a requirement to attend classes int the summer

All football players do that. Even if he elected not to, he would need to be enrolled for the fall semester by now. It begins in just a few weeks.

Don't know if serious, but if you are.. What a hilariously bad take. These are STUDENT-athletes. Should other students at UA be "cut" from their respective majors and sent to the Alabama equivalent of Junction frickin Texas for not taking classes in July?

If there was even one semester or summer session where you didn't take classes, then you can kindly GTFO of here with that comment. Feel free to post a pic of your transcript or some other form of proof

If he isn’t enrolled because he is considering leaving again, it’s probably for the best for everyone if he just leaves. If he isn’t committed to being at Alabama, he is doing himself and Bama a disservice by staying.

Hopefully this is just because he isn’t taking classes in July and not because he wants to leave.

I believe the statement was "he not currently attending classes".

"Not currently attending classes" is a far cry from "not enrolled in future classes".

Just FYI.

Until Anoma's name disappears from this list, he's an Alabama football player:

Normally if a player is not going to be available in the fall Saban announces that at SEC media days.

The evidence is the drama surrounding his name.

Did Cecil only ask about him? I doubt it. But this is the only player they get that response from. And he was just in the transfer portal earlier this year.

That's not normal and I don't see what is at all flawed about questioning where his heart is.

I hope I'm wrong because he's a huge talent, but how can you say these things point towards someone who has the heart to be in the program and will have the focus required later in the season? Where is his head going to be?

We see other players who are out working themselves as much as possible. Just say Jerry Jeudy article recently about he was working with Antonio Brown to improve his game. And then we have this guy who is 1 week from fall camp and not even enrolled apparently.

Sorry, I see a difference. In most cases I'm the last to talk ill of a player. I don't want to see a player of his talent leave, but at a certain point they can become a cancer to the rest of the team.

How many other players are not currently attending classes?

When was the last time you read from a reporter that the school had no comment on a player because that player was not currently attending classes?

And WHY is he not currently attending classes?

But all that is being confirmed is he is not enrolled for summer July session. There are no reports out there that he is not enrolled for the fall.

I don't know if its true or not, but he is at least showing signs that this is the case. I don't blame the dude if that is the case, some people just aren't passionate enough about it to make all of the sacrifices to be a upper level football player. It is what it is.

I kind of liken it to someone on Wall Street, or in high finance. I know or know of plenty of people who had baller jobs on Wall Street, or high finance, making a ton of money, but quit and went into completely different fields that weren't nearly as lucrative or prestigious because they absolutely hated the work. Great at what they do, just not all that interested. just my 2 cents.

I was so sure my nephew was going to be the next greatest NFL lineman when he was growing up. He was like 12 years old and was bigger than most high school students.

He played football and was good, but as the years went on he became less and less interested. He ended up not even playing highschool football the last few years.

Liked hunting and nature way more, so instead of football he decided he'd rather be a game warden.

He went where his heart was even though I have little doubt he could have made a great football player.

To hell with the Fall. Why wasn't he enrolled in July?

If he ends up enrolled in the fall, I don't really think it matters. Guys can take a step back to take care of personal stuff.

I hope whatever his issues are he gets them sorted, and if the healthiest place for him to be is somewhere other than Alabama, then I hope that is where he lands.

At the end of the day we have Saban to make the right decisions and there isn't anyone better to do it.

Is he had planned on leaving, he would have been in the transfer portal. He hasn't been in school all of July. Saban probably gave him a leave of absence.

He was in the transfer portal until the coaches talked him off the ledge. Should Saban tell him to pound sand like half the people in this thread want him to? No. Should anyone expect him to ever make any on field contributions for the University of Alabama football team? No. Dude has issues. If not for his past then maybe this isn't something that really means anything, but given the fact that he already had one foot out the door a few months ago I'd say the most likely explanation for his absence from classes is that he's right back to having a foot out the door. Same deal as Kaho. Lots of kids that age have issues. It's a tumultuous time in their lives, and a lot of people just are not mentally or emotionally equipped to balance a personal life with something as demanding as D1 college football at 18 or 19 years old.

Really....the guy has a history for a one year player and that history doesn't bode well for a player that has seen the light and will be counted on at Bama.

He was in the portal for a day. That's it. Get over it.
